You can find out more information on the Trilogy that takes place 13 years after the Movie Here and then more from google after that. kristof65
I think Willow is one of the few fantasy movies I haven't seen. One of these days I'll pick it up, flashy effects or not (who cares about flashy effects, I still like Clash of the Titans!)
Lars Porsenna
Yes, I remember reading Shadow Moon some time ago. It was a pretty good book. I didn't know there were sequels...I'll have to Amazon them later... Damon.
zepgodiria
...good film but wasn't it basically Star Wars in fantasy form thou?? ... Other than the fact that it was written by George Lucas, I don't really see too many similarities. I own the movie and watch it at least once a year. I've even convinced my fiancee to name our first daughter (if we have one) Kaiya, after Willow's wife. It fits perfect with my fiancee's traditional middle name of Jain. Kaiya Jain, it just has a nice ring to it.
haldir
I think it was the Hobbit, somehow SW got mixed in there Neat name, Zep, has a nice flow to it. My wife & I kinda went different with our son's middle name, it's Aryn, slightly different then Aaron, just thought it had a nice feel to the way it's spelled. Been forever since I've seen Willow, may have to see if I can find it somewhere & either buy it or rent it. Also didn't Chris Clairmont do something with those books? I recall a ad in Dragon mag that showed armored rider from the side with that in it. ps love Clash of the Titans, even had the action figures!!!!! smokingwreckage
I read Shadow Moon. Let me tell you something, if sentence fragments drive you nuts, this book will make you want to commit suicide. I found it bordered on totally unreadable and eventually I just gave up.
ixminis
Anyone notice that the Dark Horse movie that's about to come out looks quite Franzetta and Vallejo (Boris, that is) and they've got a Willow-esque shield slue in snow? Hey BATTLEMOUNTAIN - long time no see!!!!!!

styates
That would be Pathfinder that you're referring to and yes, it is based off of a Dark Horse publication.
M. Eversberg II
I find the Pathfinder move somewhat...insulting...but we will not get into that here :) On a happier note they're making a Dragonlance movie, so I shall have to go and see just how badly they BUTCHER my favorite fantasy series... Spike
I agree with Styates. Willow was one of Val Klimer's crowning achievments. What's not to love about the story either! It's got all the things that make fantasy stories good... evil queens, two-headed monsters, anti-heroes.... brownies? I LOVED those guys! Did any of you ever see the "making of Willow" special on HBO (I think it's on the DVD too) where the guys who played the brownies were grumbling about how all the other actors got nice trailers and they got Barbie Dream House? While on the off-topic topic of non-Willow fantasy films, who here has ever seen Labyrinth? I never could figure out how David Bowie kept himself so slender after devouring ALL that scenery.
