CuCulain42
While on the off-topic topic of non-Willow fantasy films, who here has ever seen Labyrinth? I never could figure out how David Bowie kept himself so slender after devouring ALL that scenery. I love Labyrinth, it's one of my all time favorites. kristof65
I love Labyrinth! Inevitably, that movie winds up inspiring a scene or NPC (or 2-3 of each) in any fantasy RPG campaign I run.
joshuaslater
Willow was fun. I could tell ya how Bowie remained so slender, as he wasn't The Thin White Duke for nothin'.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted April 9, 2007 Moderator Share Posted April 9, 2007 A friend of mine had a fiber-optic lamp that looked like David Bowie's hair from that movie...

Are you sure uit didn't look more like Tina Turner's hair in Beyond Thunderdome?
King Tiger
To this day when a caster is interrupted or fails a concentration check in my campaign i still say in a goat like voice... "Wiiilow you Iiiiidiot!" And one of my character's favorite battle cries is "Now YOU die!" Those of you who are buffs know the scenes. Humansquish
Willow is the best fantasy movie ever made. Love it! "Out of the way, PECK!!" My brother still says that to me. Just because he's one inch taller.... And when either of us says no to the other its followed by "you stupid hag".

Flit
I am a fan of both Willow and Labyrinth. The thing I couldn't figure out about Labyrinth is why the ugly little muppet-y goblins had a king that looked like David Bowie. Now I'm gonna havta go by the DVD and replace my old cassette of the soundtrack with a CD.
Kheprera
I, too, love them both. Labyrinth has inspired many characters, either through music or concept, and Willow is just fun. I had two characters, Hocus and Pocus, little pixie-type NPCs, based on Lenny and Squiggy. Sorry, I still think of those two as their characters from Laverne and Shirley. morganm
"Out of the way, PECK!!" "Help! Somebody help me! There's a peck here pointing an acorn at me!" - Mad Martigan =^.^= Ah; I love that movie. Need to get this and Labyrinth on DVD.

tombwalker
Might be old films, but they still knock the socks off some of the new stuff. Willow was just great. Labarynth was spectacular. Have even had (no longer, sniff) a book on the art work and characters. Some amazing work went into all the characters. Have got both the dvds' and my kids love em too. Ageless
