Moderator Froggy the Great Posted April 5, 2007 Moderator Share Posted April 5, 2007 These are made from the plungers out of the syringes I used for the fleet I posted yesterday. The lamps are other covers for larger syringes. The only parts I didn't get from the veterinarian are the caps(styrene) and the bases (pennies). Desiree is merely included for scale and/or atmosphere.
Lance
Herr, I'm bringing some of these old server hard drives to Reapercon just so I can see what you will turn them into.
cristomeyers
The Macguiver of kitbashing does it again. I'm starting to think you could make a mini out of just about anything. Side note: Is that mini still in production? It's a great resemblance to a Shadowrun NPC of mine.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted April 5, 2007 Author Moderator Share Posted April 5, 2007 Should still be. She's from Rafm's Call of Cthulhu line.
cristomeyers
Sweet, I'll have to look that up. Apparently it's not possible for female runners to wear anything other than miniskirts or other ridiculous clothing. We now return to the originally scheduled thread. Sergeant_Crunch
Cool idea, but I'd cut the height down a little bit. They don't feel right to me, just seem too tall.

Mr.Wizard
This is an excellent contrivance! A small amber LED would fit inside the lamp, and you could run the wires down the grooves and hide them with putty. Cool if I use your idea?
Mr.Wizard
What glue did you use for the dissimilar plastics?
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted April 5, 2007 Author Moderator Share Posted April 5, 2007 Go ahead and use my idea. And Zap-a-gap was more than sufficient.
Voladilk
Very cool idea Frosch. I personally think that the lamps are not too tall. Maybe the people who built them are trying to keep kids from throwing rocks a them and smashing the glass! Very nice work mate.

Versutus Vulpes
dude PM me your address so I can send you wierd stuff I have lying about, so we can see what you do to it. Erm... Frosch... I am going to get those tubes out to you soon... I've had a devil of a time trying to get my act in gear... My appologies. Also... MAN!!! You are some crazy mad scientist yourself! Those lamps look better than those ones they sell at Christmas for those Dickens villages... A tip of my hat to you sir!
