Jordahn
None? Shoot, and I was so hoping to see some great 80's photos of people. I once had a picture of my big hair, shades, black jacket, black leather gloves, white jeans, Union Jack bandana wrapped around my left leg, and hugging my customized painted Union Jack bass. Thank goodness that pic is long gone. I do have another one I can share of a 1990 senior pic. Will I? Hmmmm... I'll think about it.

If so, we would have matched rather well I think. :p Except the guitar. My mom gave up trying to teach me piano. "Here, I'll play this so you can understand how it's supposed to sound, and here's the music." Me: Plays piece without looking at music picking out the notes she just played by ear, retrying if I messed up. I was pretty good at the sliding trombone, though, because of that talent, but had to give it up because we moved during the school year. Oh well. I didn't care for lugging it around anyway. smokingwreckage
"When it was the eighties, I dressed as a child, I spake as a child, but now I am a man I have put very short shorts behind me." 3-13, ya fossils.
Orsino
3-13, ya fossils. Fos...[splutter]...fossils?!? Let's get 'im, folks! Where the h### are my teeth? Don't affect superiority, young man, just 'cause you started the eighties drooling on your banky, and finished them locked in the bathroom for days at a time! Some of us actually accomplished things in the Gimme Decade, like watching MTV, applying hair products, and, uh...watching MTV. And, um, electing Reagans and Bushes. I had a point here somewhere, I swear.
Kheprera
Actually I started playing AD&D in the 80's, and painting and collecting miniatures, so they weren't THAT bad !!
SkorpionDrache
3-13, ya fossils. I was 4-14 myself so the 80's were my childhood years, not my highschool daze. For me personaly the decade was marked by Star Wars movies,Robotech cartoons,Terminator,Aliens,Bladerunner and Atari video games. I did have two older stepbrothers, one of which was fully into the Big Hair Metal scene,so I guess I was fortunate enough to recieve greater than average exposure to the music for a kid my age. My wife is ten years my senior, and occasionally something from the 80's comes up in conversation. She'll ask me what I was doing a certain year, like 83 for example, and I have to reply,"Um,I was in 1st grade then." Usually our kids make me feel like an old fogey, but after reading some of this,I feel young by comparison.Thanks. And remember,Youth and Speed is no match for Age and Cunning. (In an attempt to make an "on topic" comment,Ill post some pics of me as soon as I get a camera, and get some developed.Mabey Ill get a good one of a live fire at Camp Shelby this summer.) lstormhammer
6-16 in the 80's. It also doesn't help that I'm playing Vice City right now, and it's as close to being there again as you can get. Well, maybe less guns were in RL, but otherwise it's spot-on... --lstormhammer

Catlion
Hi folks! I haven't been very active lately, due to working abroad (in Canada) for a while, but I'm back now and hopefully I'll have more time to hang around the board again. Hope you don't mind... ;-) Here are some pics, both taken at a LARP about two years ago:

kkoene
8-17. I was into anything He-Man in the early parts of the 80's then in junior high (12-14) I discovered Metallica and Slayer and other metal bands. Was introduced to D&D in 7th grade and have been a fan since although haven't played in over 10 years. Spend most of my time painting and drawing and playing with my kids (of which I have 3...2yrs, 6yrs and 16yrs).
