bluethunder
I like the Bladesisters, and I was thinking of flipping the data card for the hill giant, then useing the fire giant queen from DHL as a sub.

bluethunder
I really love 3168: Vanja, Fire Giant Queen. I have the other one but it lacks the impact of the fire giant model. That spear is also a good sub for the hill giants tree.
bluethunder
Today I tested my Bladesister list Vs. an all demon Darkspawn list and won. I used the Crusaders' angel instead of the giant queen. It was a blast. I also used a large group of Shadowsisters. That back stab rocks.

Tannhauser
Today I tested my Bladesister list Vs. an all demon Darkspawn list and won. Coincidentally, I recently defeated an all demon Darkspawn list with my Bladesisters, too. To protect the identity of my opponent, I shall refer to him as G. Landt. Wait, that's too obvious, we'll call him Gus L. Hopefully he won't suddenly decide that Bladesisters are too powerful and need an emergency datacard change. shakhak
I've only played the Merc's twice or so, and I know that this army may not win against everything, but it's got style and class. Fluff: The lupines have rarely been seen in the Barthos Province, many leaving once War began to ravage the land. Now rumor is spreading that they have returned... The are moving south, into the thickness of war. Employment for their services are in high demand at these times, but for now they are taking no contracts. They move fast, their fur still colored of whites and greys, signs that they come from far north. They're weapons are bloodied and their morals are high, signs that many victorious battles lay behind them to the north. They carry much and among the howls and the ear shattering blast of their leader's great horn, there is a deep roar that can only be of draconic heritage. Korbrus the Warrior Bronze, (Change of Heart Argyrian) This great bronze dragon is known for his long alliances with the Lupine tribes. Some call him a coward, accusing him of hiding behind simple minded mercenaries, or critisize him for his neutral tendices; Korbrus pays them no mind. He has a warrior spirit and his fearsome presense does not go unnoticed on a battlefield. Korbrus, although smaller than other metallic dragons, fights with tooth, nail, and wing; Some say his might rivals that of the great elven protector Argyrian. Army: Lord Vasyl - 244 (304) Grtr Mag Arm- 30 Grtr Mag Wpn- 30 Corm - 106 (196) Burst of Speed - 10 Cure 4 - 40 Cure 4 - 40 Lupine Rager - 77x7 (593) Korbrus - 294 (404) Outrider - 15 Counter Spell - 10 Lighting Blast - 45 Chain Lightning - 40 Battle Plan: Burst of speed is a first round thing, no tactician in the deck. Start with Lupines in a 3x3 formation The initiative deck won't be in my favor so it's hopefully I can hold off my activation, use Burst of speed and, get 18" across the board. Start in flight and keep Korbus in flight(use him to draw arrows if needed) The spell lasts for one more activation. By Round two: Put in the Tactician card. The Lupines, hopefully after starting ~10", Running ~18", and having a charge of 13" you can reach a target model. Gang up on targets. Go for a kill, try to even out the numbers as much as possible. One vs One, the lupines will come out ahead. 2 vs 1 things start to get hairy. Try to keep Crom under some cover, and make use of the Lord's Blow through. If you can, use the blow through on a model or two, Before the charge. Using the Lord as a shield for Crom is a good idea, just before of mages or other models with blow through. Korbrus should be in a position to land and get off either of the lightning spells. If there is a battle line, destroy it. If they are scattered, Chain it up. Go for a position that you can't be ganged up on. A swarm will do more damage than you want to take. Your goal is to take 4 points of damage, so Crom can heal. Rounds 3+: Fight tooth, nail, and wing. Keep ganging up. Don't leave a model wounded because a wounded models gives +1 to allies. Always finish them off. Use up Croms Cures during round 1-4. After that things get too hairy and Crom may die before casting. If I get some free time, I'll get pictures up in the gallery, I'll link them here. Warwick
I love this idea. I try to mix up my Lupines with other things. I lose, but I have fun trying.
Stubbdog
What about joint venture between the lupines and the minotaurs: Troop 1: Vasyl +Greater Armor = 274 Corm +Holy Symbol (reserect, 2x cure3, divine vigor) = 246 6x ragers = 462 ----------------------- troop 1 = 982 points Troop 2: Istvan = 87 5x Minotaurs = 425 ----------------------- troop 2 = 512 points Total 14 models, 3 cards, 1494 points

How about we just make Ragers into Grunts for all lupine sub-lists. Then we can have a pure breed lupine army... No minotaur preservatives. Arbiter10
Admittedly, I haven't been staying on top of all things Warlord of late; that said, who is this Korbrus you speak of? I just finished doing various searches of the data cards and haven't been able to find one for him. Is it a new release whose data card hasn't been added to the database yet? Sorry, I was purposely misleading. I am using Change of Heart on, Argyrian the Silver Dragon from the Elven Army. My specific model is painted Bronze, so for the fan fluff I wrote above, I just made up a name and tossed in this line "Some say his might rivals that of the great elven protector Argyrian." Here are the silver dragon's stats http://warlordhq.reapergames.com/pages/war...t&chkID=
Stubbdog
Personally, I think that all warlords (including those with outrider) ought to be non applicable to the change of heart..
shakhak
Personally, I think that all warlords (including those with outrider) ought to be non applicable to the change of heart.. Perhaps at a later time, the last thing mercs need right now is a FA nerf. I do kind of agree though, I would even like to see it extended to exclude all Unique models.
