When you have problems, you can talk to the credit card people if PayPal is non-responsive. When said credit card is with the bank where you've had an account for years (in my husband's case, for a lot of years), the bank won't want to lose you as a customer. That didn't work in my case I stated above. I also use Paypal through a credit card, the problem I encountered is that by the time it took to realize that the seller was never going to send my minis (they did send the initial invoice & replied to my first email), several weeks had gone by. It took over a month for Paypal to 'investigate' my claim, by then, when I contacted my credit card, they claimed too much time had gone by & they wouldn't refund my money. Heisler Posted May 23, 2007 Share Posted May 23, 2007 Although I agree that you have to be careful with anything you do online I have never had a problem with Paypal and I have had my account there since 1999. I have never had a problem with Ebay either and I have almost 800 total transactions between buying and selling. Its like anything else out there one person has a bad transaction and suddenly it errupts and from all the talk it sounds like there is not a single honest person using Ebay or that Paypal can never get anything right (although I admit that I feel that the $50 investigation charge is nonsense).
