tabascojunkie
We discovered upon getting home today that somebody broke into our house while we were away at RCon. They grabbed the bottom of the garage door and yanked out and up bending the crap out of it until someone could fit under it. They didn't get much, and it was obviously a bunch of teenagers from what they did get. What we've found missing so far is 50 dollars in rolled coins, about 10 dollars in loose coins from the mug on my dresser, a Playstation 2 and several games, a few non-valuable rings from my wife's jewelry box, my son's cel phone that didn't work because it went through the washing machine, and a 50 ml bottle of Crown Royal. 2 whole shots. It could have been a lot worse if they were real thieves, 'cause we have a lot of things that are worth a hell of a lot more than what they took. Still a crappy end to a really great weekend. Kheprera
*hugs* Damn that sucks. While they didn't take much, or anything exceedingly valuable, it's still an invasion of your personal space. Major suckage. We're heading home tomorrow morning to a sick little boy. Hopefully it's something not too serious.
Crusoe the Painter
Haw Haw, the joke will be on them when they get charged with a felony for stealing only a few dollars worth of stuff! ;)
vutpakdi
Ouch! Very sorry to hear that. Yeah, could have been worse, but still sounds like it really sucks. Hopefully, the police will be able to do something. Ron

ixminis
Very sorry to hear that - do another inventory tomorrow as the few times I've been robbed I missed one or two things on the first go round... and also check if your home-owners insurance gives you discounts/incentives for beefing up home security as well... it'll be that much easier to add the stuff to the house and firm-up yer defense. Spartan6
Aww man.. THAT sucks! I'm glad they didn't get anything irreplaceable though.
Dragon Snack
Wow, sorry to hear that. Definitely go through the house more than once to make sure you didn't miss anything.
tabascojunkie
Aww man.. THAT sucks! I'm glad they didn't get anything irreplaceable though. I know they're just material things, but I'm glad they didn't get into my guitars. One in particular that I've had for about 15 years. I'd hunt somebody down and hurt 'em over that one. That's what I don't get. Not to advertise what I have, but there's a whole bunch of money in my guitar room alone, but a lot of it's big heavy stuff. And that's the room the little bottle of Crown came from. And in that room they also opened up the box for my Iron Maiden box set and pulled the interior out of it. Probably thought it was a weed stash.
CuCulain42
That sucks. At least they took nothing of real value. Hopefully soon we'll hear about the perps on Dumb Crook News.
GreyHorde
Thieves & vandals SUCK. Sorry to hear they got you. For me, the material things matter less than the invasion of privacy. Need something? Ask, I'll likely loan it or give it away. Take it from me and you show me a lack of respect and simple, common decency. Exactly when does it become OKAY in someone's mind to break into someone's home? Sorry for the rant. I'm trying to empathize; I've had more than my fair share of robberies from homes, garages, vehicles, job sites and finances. It just irritates me to the core that we have to put up with morons who are so bored with life and lacking any moral fiber at all they can only get their kicks by making other people miserable. Ditto. Pardon the French, but I've always said that liars and thieves are the biggest pieces of stuff on the planet. Nevermind, the auto-censor got it, but you know what I mean. Reaperbryan
Tabasco, let me know if there is anything I can do. I know that I can never replace your things or your peace-of-mind, but I want to help.
Shakandara
Grr. I am angerfied for you. Incidents like these are the ones that reinforce my belief that there are far too many stupid people in the world. It's time to start removing warning labels from things and see how many of these dummies weed themselves out of the gene pool... If there is anything we (Terri & I) can do to help, say so. ~v
tabascojunkie
Thanks Bryan and Vince. Not really much to do to help though, unless you know how to straighten a garage door panel Lke I said , it could have been a lot worse. The biggest thing is really the PS2. tabascojunkie jr. is ready to whup somebody over that. And update- The f^$&@rs took my Vegas casino dice.
