Ishil
I'm still painting mine. It's taking a looong time, but it's nearing the end now. Unfortunately I have to wait until next weekend to paint again. Ishil
fieldarchy
hmm I'm still waiting for mine. I thought my presenter had said he was sending it soon . . . hmmm . . . unless I dreamed that all up. <scratches head> guess I have to wait and see
sethohman
Have to start a new mini. Apparently, the one I shiped to my recipient has been lost in Post Office land. First time I haven't shipped Priority Mail, and for sure the last time. Been 3 weeks from Ohio to Texas. SETHOHMAN Second mini is going to the recipient Tuesday. First one was 'lost in the warp'. Hopefully my pictures came out - I will post when he sends word it was recieved. Mike
Ayin
I am trying to get mine done... But there is a good chance he will be a tad late. I saw my Dr. today & she prescribed some antibiotics - this darned headcold is bad and has wiped me out. SO, I am still going to shoot for at least shipping him out by the 15th, but I really like the way he is coming out and I don't want to ruin him by rushing. I got a bit more done tonight, and spent 3 hours trying to do NMM the other day...
Midnight Lurker
I started off trying to do NMM on my dude, but it just wasn't working, so I have gone back to shaded metallics. I'm pretty sure I will have him out by the 15th though. All that's left is the fiddly bits and basing. One thing is for sure, I will NEVER again sign up for a mini exchange at the same time I am sewing a wedding gown! Or rather I will never again agree to sew for a wedding. Ah well. At least it's over now and I can devote myself to something fun. I kinda like the way it's coming out.... My husband tried to talk me into keeping him, but I promise to mail him out! T'Sarith DeGaalth
I am running a little late also. I was trying some new techniques and then threw out my back and couldn't paint anything (or sit at my desk) for most of September.
Faraday77
Thanks to my job I'm only about halfway done with my mini as of today and not sure if I'll make the deadline.
Shakandara
I received my mini from Angela (Landt) yesterday. It is absolutely gorgeous, and not befitting of a slacker like me. My deepest thanks for you sharing a bit of your skill through the exchange. It is a lovely piece and will have a spot of honor along with the other exchange minis and favorite commission pieces in my collection. In fact, to prove my slackerishness (is that even a word?), not only have I not finished my exchange mini yet (and I know I won't be done on time - please forgive me, my recipient, but it will get done), I also did not get pictures taken of Angela's mini last night either. *sigh* If you've got pics to post, please do so, Angela. Otherwise, I'll try to take some later in the week and get them posted. ~v
vutpakdi
I'm done painting, but I need to snap final pictures, seal, package, and ship (which probably won't happen until Tuesday the 16th). Ron
haldir
glad to hear that I'm not the only one behind, primed mine & then I noticed some nasty mold lines on the cloak, not easily hidden as it's in the shoulder area, & I didn't have any files that were small enough to get into the folds (got those yesterday), hopefully I won't be to far off the deadline. Kengar
Aaaaand SENT! Dropped it in the mail this AM (10/12), so I beat the deadline, whee! I hope the recipient likes it. I just wish I'd had more table time to have worked on it.
Helltown
Might be hand delivering my miniature to the New England Paint Day later this month... depends on if the Evil Ones let me paint today and tomorrow. Down to one last thing, attach the bow hand.. more involved than previously thought, but still.. it was worth having it out of the way while I tackled the rest of the mini. (Repeat last 4 lines ad infinitum) Ron Y'know... when I went home this morning, I walked into the kitchen and saw the new bag of dry food in the middle of the floor with a hole in it (thankfully near the top). I scooped up both cats, which results in squirming and tussling but they both stopped their squirming when presented with the evidence of their crime. Bageerah meowed and tried to get away (not guilty of initial break-in) and Oreo just stared at the bag ("Oh crap... I knew I should have moved it back where I found it."). They're not very appreciative of the 'For your own good' Iam's kibble.
