Whizard Hlavaz
I would be very interested in a central MA gathering. I'm just north of Boston, so the drive would be perfect. The ME or CT locations are a bit too far for me (2+ hours). So if someone is coordinating a MA meet, please add me to almost definite list, thanks. I think the MA meet will be next year, iirc. Come to CT, anyway! There are those of us traveling from NH and ME! You have no excuse!

(Now driving up Mission Hill wherer her dorm was, that could get a little exciting ). The drive goes by pretty quick. 93S to 95S to painting good times. Or, try and catch a ride with someone passing through. If not, though, hope to see you next time.

The Whiz Store would like to have us, I believe, but we'll have to get the date more cemented as people start scheduling their spring activities. The Maine gathering is in the summer, aiming for June-July time frame so that no one will get roasted alive but can still go about their vacations as normal. I'll be more than happy to carpool with anyone from Maine who wants to go to Connecticut or Massachusetts gatherings, I'd even be willing to pay for gas so that someone else drives (I hate driving, I get lost and/or frustrated on long trips as the driver). Whizard Hlavaz
Also, since I'm new to all of this, what should I bring? Brushes, paints, minis, potato salad? Definitely the potato salad!!! Though I hope it doesn't turn into one of those types of "potato salad" parties that I've heard so much about...

I have no idea what kind of party you are referring to, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I don't want to.

But my friend always says "potato salad"... maybe because we never serve mashed potatoes but potato salad. LOL!!! I never knew the true source of the reference but it always made me laugh. LOL. Lorderl
Hiya everyone, DTD steered me over to this, I've already confirmed with my brother in-law (the driver ) and we'll be attending. It'll be awesome to finally attend one of these and meet you all. my i suggest that the info below and the address, phone # etc be added to the first post This may be exactly what i need to get me back into getting some real painting time in, it might help if i removed a computer i'm repairing away from front of my painting desk so that the area is more welcoming. do i need to PM anyone with any info or is this post sufficent? From what I understand, bring your brushes, paint and what ever minis you want to work on. Ladystorm will be bring the supples for a Paint and Take and will be sharing her paints. I don;t have any problems sharing what I have. As I live close by, I will be bring most of my painting desk (as it is in storage while I move, it is conveinently boxed up). As far as food, I'm not sure. I was thinking of asking She Who Must Be Obeyed (my wife), to whip up a cheese cake or lemon cake. Something to sustain the painting binges. I know that if I'm in a painting groove I will forget to eat if not reminded.
dargrin
I think that this is the place. If so I do agree with updating post #1. The Citadel Games 537 Long Hill Rd Groton, CT 06340 Phone: (860) 445-0641
Helltown
There's no need to PM anyone until we get closer to the event. Perhaps a week out we can PM Dilvish so that he can have a rough headcount for the folks at The Citadel, so they know what to expect and stock whatever snackies they keep around to appropriate levels. Which brings me to a solid point: They're letting us hang out there all day, we should probably spend a lil' money if nothing else on snacks and sodas if they offer 'em. It's a bit of courtesy for the owner(s). Just my 2 cents...
Qwyksilver
You can have my snacks. If I'm able to go, I was just going to spend my metal on shiny metal stuff, the only way that turns out like crap is if I have a bad day painting. With snacks, it's automatic
