Dilvish the Deliverer
I would be interested. I'm willing to drive 2-3 hours or so. I'm currently living in Colchester, CT, but I have family in Hudson NH and so I could always make a weekend of it. I'm in Florida from mid July to August 1st. I know the owner of the Citadel in Groton Ct. He has a large basement in his store with OK lighting. If needed I could set something up with him. The only drawback to there is that he has a limited selection of paints (a partial selection of Pro paints mainly, most of the paints he special orders for people). Anyway, if people want to come as far south as Southeastern CT (near the Casinos), I can set it up even if it is during my vacation time. Whizard Hlavaz
Cher -- What does coordination require? I'm pretty full up on work, projects, and the like, but I'd like to see this happen. If all else fails, I can see what I can do.

dargrin
I was recently thinking it had been a while since my last NE Reaper-fest.(April 2004?) I have too much on my plate to coordinate this alone. I can help some. Let me know what you need done because I never planned one of these before.

I'd love to contribute as well but I've also never had any experience coordinating anything much more than a weekend game night.
Helltown
I dunno what I can do to help, having never run one of these things before but I can contribute a modest selection of Citadel paints to the cause. And if we do decide to have some sort of contest... there's this Stormwing that's just been sitting here which I'd be more than happy to contribute to the prize pool. I've got Gauth sitting here as well, but I'm working on getting that dragon a home. Dragons, such difficult creatures to find homes for. ladystorm
What does coordination require? A person to take charge Date/Location Location/Date In my experience, you have to be a little flexible in the order of date & location. Sometimes you can pick a date then find a location, othertimes you have to find the location first then a date that works for there. From those, you must plan activites, arrange advertising and gather your support & supplies. I cannot be the take charge person for this, my schedule is too full. (calendar almost booked into March 08 alread ) I'll gladly assist, but I will not make this happen. I suggest if we're having people willing to drive up to 2-3 hours to attend, we need to make this a full day to give them a better reason to attend. I'd further suggest you collect zip codes of people for use in planning purposes to triangulate a suitable central location to host this at. I would suggest from experience that the number of people to make the big decisions is kept small (2-3 at most), too many voices in charge lead you nowhere. Find a leader, location and date. Whizard Hlavaz
OK. Thanks, Cher. I guess I initiated this, I should step up. Could you kindly send me your list of available shops/locations? The rest of you -- Could you supply your zip codes, either here or PM me. Also, your availability over the next four weeks of July. If we need to move into August, we can do that, but my August is filling up as I'll be out of the country for several weeks. Anyhow, I'll begin to add interested folks' names/locations/availability to the first post, and we'll go from there. If anyone wants to help in any way -- I'm not likely to organize any other activities beyond "meet here, this date, bring paint" -- then let me know. I'm sure folks will likely want a little organization, though I prefer to just sit and paint and chat. At any rate, let's see what happens. Be nice to meet/see again you folks. -Darin. Ah, then I'm not the guy to organize this, but if folks want to put something together, I'll follow this thread and show up. I will keep the list at the head of this topic, however. That I can manage.

Dilvish the Deliverer
July is bad for me. I'm working like a dog until I go to Florida to visit the in-laws. I move into my new house on 1 Aug and the wife already has a large honey-do list (laminate floors, repainting ect), but I could take a day off at some point during the month. I WILL make time even if I have to break the suit out of storage. On another note, in a "if wishes were fishes" vein, I found the perfect venue: Ultimate painting area Now if only I had the disposable cash to make it happen.
