Whizard Hlavaz
Just for clarity, I live in MA but I am about 5 minutes from the NH border. Well, as all of us here in NH know, everyone in MA wants to be from NH.
Qwyksilver
No, that's not true. We don't want to pay your property taxes. We want to live close enough that we can shoot over the border, buy our expensive electronics and gaming supplies and furniture tax free, then return to MA Edited July 3, 2007 by Qwyksilver

Dilvish the Deliverer
I talked to Pat, owner of The Citadel, in Groton, CT. He has a basement/gameroom that he is willing to open to us. Right now he doesn't have any scheduled events except for a Battletech group that meets once a month. I know the guys and gals in that group so I can deconflict pretty easily. The lighting is ok (mostly florescent shop lights) and he has plenty of table space. So far it looks like we've go Brunswick ME and Groton CT. Ranging shots complete, lets see if we can get one in the middle somewhere. Another idea is if anyone is a member of a VFW or American Legion of other orginization that members can reserve the hall. Or sometimes local libraries have rooms that people can use. Just some ideas.

We've got Connecticutt folks covered with Groton.. The Lone Maineiac covered with Brunswick, and the NH and MA folks still to weigh-in on the matter. C'mon folks, let weigh-in on this! Whizard Hlavaz
With the Wizard's Tower in Nashua having closed, I don't have any options I can offer. I know I could get space in Keene, NH, but that's pretty far for a lot of folks east of here. I'm willing to range. I'll go to ME. I'll go to CT. I know Groton to an extent. Grew up in Putnam, CT. Anyhow, the point is... I'll travel. I'll get a hotel if it's too far out. Or not. No worries from this boy. Just tell me where. Tell me when. I'm good to go. Helltown
Groton's pretty much max range for me, but I'm willing to wander that far south so long as my employee's available that weekend. No way, I'm driving to and from Groton and working the following day. Heh, it would be exceptionally cool if we'd done this while I was still in the Navy and then I could just stay at the Navy Lodge on the sub base. ... an aviation-type Sailor in Bubblehead land, I'll have to avoid saying half of my favorite jokes

Well if it happens here and you want the full experience, you could still stay at the Lodge if I sponsor you. And the Lodge is actually out in town and not on the SubBase per se. The Groton Chalet (formerly Suisxe Chalet) is on base and it has to be the worst contract I have seen executed in my 15+ years in the Navy. When they built that thing, the Navy gaurenteed 80% occupanacy. So everyone TAD is forced to stay there for $80/night, rather than pay $20/night at the BOQ for a better room. ... an aviation-type Sailor in Bubblehead land, I'll have to avoid saying half of my favorite jokes Bring it on, it's not like I havn't heard them before. Whizard Hlavaz
I'm glad this got a bump. I've been watching it sink. Guess this is the sum of NE painters. We should start to negotiate where, I guess. I'll spend this weekend thinking of ideas more centrally... Don't know what my options are, but I'll ask friends and stuff for input. We'll see. ladystorm
Anyone available Saturday July 21st? early afternoon-ish? I have an opening that day and am willing to say *shock* come on over, we can paint here. I have the space and supplies. We can also find a date/time/location for the next one later in the fall. I'd prefer no young'uns tagging along, simply because they don't generally paint and require you to entertain them so you can't paint either. However if you have a young'un old enough to paint, and will paint and allow you to paint, go for it.

ladystorm
Around 1 is great. Our beverage fridge is virtually empty so bring your favorites. Extra lamps might be nice. PM for address.
Dilvish the Deliverer
Alas, I will be in the land of the oranges, sunshine and a round eared rodent that will take way too much of my money. If this goes on while I'm gone, go ahead and post how great it was so I can know what I missed. I'm such a glutton for punishment.
