Enchantra
Sonic after a few days gets a little . . . well . . . not good on the system for us rabbit food eaters. Speaking of rabbitfood I could easily make a non-mayo pasta salad to bring in. One whose dressing was oil and vinegar based instead that had some veggies in it, so those of us who do have these problems have some options. While I'm not a vegetarian myself, I know a few who are, and yes three or four days of tater-tots, no matter how good they are gets to be a bit much on one's digestive tract. If Meg's got cooking supplies and is willing to run me to the grocery store, I can make the pasta salad. It's on the list of things that Helltown can't burn (or screw up). You focus on the desserts, I'll make pasta salad :) When we get a little closer to ReaperCon we can start discussing the majority-rules veggie inclusions (I will admit that some people just don't like olives... I'm not one of them, but that's the way it goes). As for tater tots... I don't do fried food My cholesterol thanks me for it.
Brushmaster
.... and beer right.. please god please tell me beer is involved somehow. L-dub That's what's ShinerCon is for !
fieldarchy
Brush, you beat me to it! Don't worry L-dub we'll have some drinking. It's very amusing to stay later at Reaper HQ to see the artists get a little tipsy in the "studio" area we are set up in. Very amusing indeed. Last year Ron started snapping bottle caps, some malt/wine mixtures were created and general sillyness ensued.
Heisler
Oy you guys forgot all about the roleplaying.. yessirree-Bob Reaper has published one very nice RPG d20 module and there is a second non-published one floating about. I'd be real surprised to not find at least one of either games being GMed at ReaperCon. Oh... and there's the auction..and prizes..and all the nifty goodies in the swag-bags we get every year! So... here's the part where a squeeing geek starts her countdown! ...errrr... what's it now... eight months minus a week or so? The whole point of the entire con is the Auction on Sunday. Look at it you get reaper bucks for attending a class and you get reaper bucks for playing games and there are no classes during the auction. Obviously the entire con is focused on me errr I mean on the auction.
fieldarchy
Yeah there are some sweet prizes at the Auction. I was very happy with the fact that I received framed Sophie! That was nice. I was surprised there wasn't more competition for it.

Granted I could get purely evil and if someone has a crockpot I could make chili and have it there for those who wanted it. Put all ingredients in the crockpot, turn the temp to high first thing in the morning and by lunch time chili is done!
fieldarchy
We could always plan a dinner/cookout at the end of the day one day. I do have cooking supplies and I should have a much roomier kitchen. The grocery store will be just down the street. We can load up on cooking supplies and drinks and make a night of it! Vil-hatarn
Hmm...I might try to make it this year. Depends on whether it conflicts with my AP tests...and whether my parents will object to me flying halfway across the country
tabascojunkie
I can bring something barbecued. Mmmmm, ribs, or brisket, or,......... something.
fieldarchy
Vil, How old are you? I'm guessing you are at the end of your high school days since you are talking about taking AP classes? You can assure your parents that most of us Reaper Peeps are fairly responsible and we always look out for one of our own. If you want to come out and need transport to and from places let me know. I know I've got Kate staying with thus far and the possibility of Kelcore bunking at my place too. If Kelcore doesn't come out there I should still have some extra space. tobasco, sounds good. Hopefully I will have a grill and we can also do bbq chicken too. Well, aren't we just planning a good sounding party?
tabascojunkie
Maybe it'll be a place where we won't have to worry about being too quiet. ShinerCon has had some issues with that the last couple of years.
tabascojunkie
Oh yeah, and come RCon time next year I'll have 3 weeks vacation, so I can take the day before off to put some stuff in the smoker.
fieldarchy
Tobasco, my house should be built then and I should have a decent amount of room for people. Hopefully if there is enough space between the house and the backyard we can have a little shindig.
Spike
Shindig...or SHINEdig?
