Versutus Vulpes
Ironically - I don't like the Tragically Hip. Which is a heresy in Canada, but that is a different story. Anyhow - Doubley inspired by Ayin - First for her fox familiar, which got me to thinking on what I could do with my Jean Paul werewolf. Second for her mentioning it was on her shelf menacing her chicken minis... Which inspired me to construct the henhouse and this little diorama. Comments, critiques... Vote ifyou want... Thanks for looking.
Toad
LOL, that henhouse is about to be a deeper shade of red...
LordColdsteal
very nice job VV... but I don't get the joke about "the Tragically Hip"... and yes, I've heard of them in TX... I used to listen to Progrock on the net
Versutus Vulpes
Trouble at the Henhouse is the name of one of their albums. (In Canada - not knowing that gets you burnt at the stake... )
Cerridwyn1st
Nice piece, VV. You come up with the coolest ideas.

Enchantra
I've never heard of the band, but it's a sweet mini diorama anyways. You did a great job with it.
vhaidra
I also don't know the band but your werewolf is great. I really like what you did with the fur. I often asked myself (I have got this sculpt too but unpainted) how to paint him not boring looking, because my only idea was to paint him black or grey but you showed me how it works thanks for sharing. Great job!!
Versutus Vulpes
It's as if the entire town of Kingston Ontario stood up and said "You've never heard of the Hip?!?!?"... Due to the arcane Canadian Radio and Television Council rules all radio and TV up here must play a certain percentage of Canadian content (CanCon) - The Tradgically Hip (either through accident or design) have a sound that plays well on everything from Rock to Country to Top 40. Being Canadian, they get HUGE airplay up here, but like most Canuck bands - little penetration south of the border... Either way - I like some of their songs - but I am sick of them overall.... And back to the mini - I picked up wolfy here a little while ago - and I was toying with the idea of doing a Rampage diorama with a Giant gator for Lizzy and a Gorilla for George... But then Ayin planted a seed... Thanks all for the comments. FYI - The fur is Chestnut Brown and Brown Liner brought up through highlights with Buckskin Pale and Fire Orange (and Anita's Orange ~ craft paint ~ as I wasn't too happy with the coverage I was getting with the RMS ). Ayin
Alright. Now that I've picked myself up off the ground and shown that to my husband, I have to say I love it! Maybe I'll send you a few pewter chickens along with your fox so you can put some visible prey in there too...
PurityThruFire
And back to the mini - I picked up wolfy here a little while ago - and I was toying with the idea of doing a Rampage diorama with a Giant gator for Lizzy and a Gorilla for George... But then Ayin planted a seed... RAMPAGE diorama!!! <Gears begin to spin> That would be far and beyond all the constitues awesome! My friend...it would be brilliant. Now, I love the mini, a 100% awesome paint job.

IG88
Hey, Your not done yet. you just have to get the new chickens by Jim Johnson and make one coming out of the house and the other flying off, lol Great job anyhow though, obviously do what ever you want, I just thought that would add a little to it.
