Vikinglodge
Hi Guys when I come across a mini I have painted before wich happens, I think its fun to post both. I would estimate a 2 year difference I would think. The first one is the new one. I aproched her skintone in a different way I used white leather pro color as a base a thinned down bworn ink over that. and when I highlighted the skintone I used Blue with white leather and woodland brown with white leather. Rastl
~Sigh~ I would be happy with anywhere near the level of skill in the first one. Great to see how you've improved!
Lord Wehrmacht
Vik, Im digging this for a couple of reasons. Not only is your current work very very nice but I see alot of my current stage as where you were two years ago. Gives me hope! Seriously very nice work my friend I hope to be able to do the same one day. LW
Stubbdog
Thanks for the recipe, I am definitely gonna have to try it. Broken record.... I think this one might be my favorite of yours all time. Well, ok second only to that snorrie you did a while back.
Prophet
That was about 2 years ago, eh? I could start painting now and not stop for 2 years and not get to that point. You simply amaze.

Toad
Thanks for the comparison. Very nice work on both, but neat to see the differences. Like the updated colors.
Versutus Vulpes
Very cool VL. You can see your style emerge over the span. Generally cleaner lines (not that the older one was bad or anything) and more drama with your highlights. You can see your confidence in your painting technique emerge. Very, very cool. Also - kind of depressing/inspiring to see how far I have to go to catch up to where you were 2 years ago let alone today. But hey - we are all doing this for fun and it's not a race. Thanks for posting this.
Cerridwyn1st
The gold NMM looks a lot crisper in the newer version. Very cool, VL.
Vikinglodge
I liked the colors of the old one and decided to just change some of them.
Rastl
I would never have thought to do the skin tone like that. I'll have to give it a shot on a practice fig.
Stern Kestrelmann
Very nice VL. I'm diggin' the new version. The light sourcing is wicked cool man. SK
Orsino
VL minis were always great, and I'd have to say that since he's eased off on the darklining, they're pretty much perfection. I don't think I've ever seen better NMM than on the Queen's new sword. Beautiful, beautiful work.
bleujenna
Very, very nice. I really like the new one. I really appreciate the reflected blue tones in her skin, like on her shin and thigh. It's just little things that make her that much better.
