Maceswinger
Ok I went to the Vet with her yesterday because she started chocking and then fell to the side. After the Vet checked her and x-rayed her, she discovered that the dice aren't the cause of the chocking-she discovered that Lilo (dogs name) has a extremly enlarged heart. We have to observe the chocking now. As soon as the dice story is through she will have that heart checked out and hopefully we can keep it in check with medicine. On the dice front- She "shot" out 2d6 and the d8-only the one we all knew would be the most difficult is still in there: the d4! About rolling crappy with the dice...I always roll crap with those dice thats why my players insist I use them when I DM Da Mace
mattmcl
See, I wouldn't go through those measures for dice that rolled crappy. Even my mammoth 8 oz. brushed steel d20.
kristof65
Matt, Matt, Matt... You just haven't had enough exposure to my game groups yet... We've had some fun "punishing" errant dice. One thing we've done is lined up all our dice to "watch" us smash one that's a bad roller. Shapes them other dice right up. Ok, not really, but it's a great stress releiver. The other thing we've done is "curse" each other's dice. One of the guys I used to play 40k with would leave his dice and miniatures at our friends house we used to play at. I finally had enopugh of his lucky rolling day, and after he left, I slipped this little note in amongst his dice that said "These dice are now cursed". Next game session, he rolled like crap. From then on out it was open warfare on each others dice - didn't dare leave them out unattended, or they'd wind up with a cursed note in them. More a bit of psychological warfare than anything, really, but sometimes, I have to wonder...
mattmcl
I don't think I've started with the chilled dice in our game yet. For some reason, if you leave your dice in a dish full of ice they will roll better. I swear.
CuCulain42
About rolling crappy with the dice...I always roll crap with those dice thats why my players insist I use them when I DM Man, I would have used that as an excuse. "Sorry guys, the dog ate that set so I guess will have to use these." *rolls* "Oh, would you look at that potential crit already."
noctambulist
First, I hope that Lilo is going to be OK. But I'm surprised no one has asked the most important question. What did she roll?
Spike
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess. Was it.. *giggles* ...the number-two? Poor li'l Lilo though. Between having trouble with her ticker and having a d4 in her poop-chute, she seems to be having a rough time of it. So here's where I ask.. since you have a pet called Lilo...do you also have a Stitch?
Qwyksilver
I bet Tim never thought of making/using a dog as a dice roller for his Dungeons
haldir
speaking of dice & the freezer, a long time ago in a gala.....uh wait a sec....back in high school days (yah long time ago for me), friend of mine had some dice that would change color if you put them in the freezer before you rolled, boy did he get taken with that set. Did nothing & afterwards the dice went down the toilet as far as rolls. hopefully Lilo will ok after the "pass-through" & hope that everything turns out for the best with her heart & such.
