tanker22
Started putting the people together that we have so far with thier partner. Any questions you guys have let me know. Thus far helltown and rgtriplec are going with the 54mm Andrea line stuff but Fruggs and I decided to live dangerously and go for 75mm Only started to pair people up now if they wanted to get a head start on things, all Dead lines still apply. So if you holding back or waiting feel free to jump in and get started. Current list of people signed up and thier partners by groups: Tanker Fruggs Helltown rgtriplec John Lee Prophet of Menoth strateegos
eastman
I did see that Michigan Toy Soldier carries the line and I've been planning a personal order from them for months, so I'm all set with a US-based source for my exchange mini (and a couple others). MichToy is good, so is the Red Lancers - http://www.redlancers.com/ (I've bought from both, a little more lately from RL because they have a huge cluster of tables at the MMSI-Chicago show)
tanker22
Made my decision on a mini to do for Fruggs, think she'll like it? Hope I can do it justice. No peeking Fruggs, not unless you dont want it to be a surprise exchange piece

Helltown
You send a PM to Tanker22 with all your info and he'll match you up with someone to paint for My recipient wants an Andrea mini same as me, and wicked cool fun is in store because I get to paint a non-fantasy figure for the first time ever! Because rgtriplec wants a Golden West miniature So many cool ones to choose from, but I'm pretty sure that my favorite western legend will get the nod, I do love Wyatt Earp

rgtriplec
I should be getting Helltown's mini pretty soon. I ordered it last week. I am going to paint a couple Reaper figs to work the rust off, as I haven't painted since like June when I got my summer exchange assignment. I have these two Reapers and they are about 54mm. They should be good tune ups. http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/03086 http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/14106 Although Helltown has already said what I'm getting... I am keeping hers a secret.

I am keeping hers a secret. Have not!! I said that I really like the Wyatt Earp figure, never said it was gonna be what I painted for _you_ There are quite a few nice figures in the Golden West line to choose from, shocked that I completely disregarded the cowboys n' indians for being well... cowboys and indians (my brain is so stuck on fantasy that I sometimes forget about reality). tanker22
The Golden west line does have some neat figures. Considered picking some up on the side sometime. I liked the Wyatt Earp as well, some of the US Cav. figs are pretty sharp also. Only thing I dont like about ordering from foriegn companies is the time it takes to get them in. Seems alot of the distributers dont keep much if any in stock. Still waiting on my order to come in.

I went with Colorado Miniatures because they carry numerous brands and said that online orders were usually completed within 24-48 hours. Yeah, the Golden West line is very good, there are only a couple figs I don't really care for. I think I am going to ask for Courage for Christmas. My wife will have a fit and go on a tirade about $75 for a mini, but it will be the only thing I ask for. It is totally True Grit and captures John Wayne at his very best. Very nice site, should have gone with them instead of Mich.toy soldier. Colorado minitures looks to be about $5-$10 cheaper per mini as well, could have saved myself about $30 on my order Wont make that mistake again. Was thinking of picking up this one sometime from the Golden West line. cav trooper Thanks for the info rgtriplec

Colorado is much cheaper than Michigan Toy and Squadron.com both.
strateegos
I live about 2 hours away from Mich Toy. I like to go there about twice a year. Really cool store, lots of displays set up that they change around every now and then. They have a painting club on thursdays but I have not been able to make it there. They are pricey and I have found that ordering from them online can be quite slow. My preference is Red Lancers. Steve

Well Fruggs, it may be awhile before I get started on yours. Sorry I'm really looking forward to getting it in and start painting on it. Looks like I'm getting the smelly end of the stick both ways on this, price and delivery. Any idea on average how long they take to fill a order Steve?
