Ok,

I have finally completed this mini after input from several painters much more talented than I. :poke: Thurion was converted to represent one of my D&D characters who oddly enough is a Half-Fiend Blackguard. Please enjoy and any and all input is welcome. :blush:

This was a fun piece to work on as it was decidedly personal. This was also a series of firsts in so many ways: 1st conversion, 1st base, and 1st time using the "light box on the cheap" from this forum.

Very cool Legion, I like the armor as well. Good job on the basing as, I can see this guy kicking much butt in a D&D game. Whats with the green sword though? Suppose to magical I assume. Neat idea, but some more highlighting on it couldn't of hurt IMHO to make it pop abit more.

Good work on him!

Haldir: Thanks appreciate it. ::):

Tank: The story of the green sword; I posted him not to long ago while I was still working on him and he had a red sword that just about everyone said "go green", so that is where it came from. :unsure: My issue is the sword is "unholy", but did not want to go black as there is already sooo much black. :blink: What I may do in the future is learn how to add flames to a sword and try him again with green sword base and blend to black on the flames :wacko:

Meg: Thanks that means alot after seeing your work. :blush:

Ollie: Thanks but for tabletop I think I'm done with this specific piece for now. :;):

Hope you guys are seeing these Ok. I'm looking at them on my laptop and the pics just aren't what I saw on my PC monitor lastnight.

Yeah, I remember the red sword now, been awhile.

One thing I used to do with swords to kind of give them a magical look was mix a light almost florescent green in with my silver or what ever color I was using. With the right highlighting it gave it a pretty cool look, almost like it had a internal glow to it. Maybe thats something you could play around with in the future to see if you like it.

I might try that. To be honest Ive only just started painting blades, I used to buff them raw and seal them like that. So, it's ALL new at this point.
