Mad Jack
Yeah, greenstuff or maybe plaster for the fingers... Given that you have the box art and the fingers on the opposite hand for comparison, it won't be too hard to bang out some reasonably decent fingers. As long as you get the connection point really smooth the addition shouldn't be noticeable at all. Not sure how large this thing is, but you might want to make sure the hollow part of the hand is filled completely (if it's not already) and put wires inside the new fingers to help with the stability, since you'll be sliding the staff in and out of the hand at least a couple times before the whole thing is done. One thing about her right eye, though, it looks like it's looking just a bit too far to the right. It's obvious in the second picture that she's looking at something off to her right, but in the first pic it looks like she has a lazy eye. I have to say - those eyes look *real*. Great job so far, can't wait for the next update.

tanker22
Hey tank lookin' good. For the eye, actually start with a dark green for the iris and then highlight it. You should be able to get the light green color but it will be ringed by a thin line of the dark green and there will be variation in the shade. It looks way cool, I've tried it before. Thanks Meg, I'll try that. She did have darker eyes to start with but this lighter color really looks cool in hand, to bad it didnt turn out in the pics though. I'll see what I can do with it later after work maybe. She looks beautiful. To me she favors Christina Applegate. You know John she does actually. I hadnt noticed before you brought it up, then I went back and looked at her closely. No conplaints there on my part though Thanks again guys, glad you like how she is coming out. tanker22
Cool, thanks guys. Went back and touched up the eyebrowes darkening them and started working on the lips some as well. I thought the eye liner was just a bit to dark towords the top so I glazed them a bit more with some flesh to soften it up a bit. Glad you like her, thanks again
fieldarchy
Oooh much better on the eyes! See, that's just such a sexy green stare right there. More defined but you still have the nice bright green in there. Are you going to lighten the hair at all? A few lighter highlights, especially in strands would help give her hair a more natural look. Naturally in my brown hair I've got blonde and red streaks to my hair. Nothing to really stand out but when the light hits it you can see the different colors. If you added a few lighter streaks here and there I think it would really make the hair look great! You are off to a good start though Tank! Definitely lookin' very cool. Now . . . Back to painting everyone!

Yeah, I'm not done with the hair yet meg. This is kind of just the base coat I guess. I'll go back in and soften it up some, kind of on the strong side right now with the orange. None of the highlighting and stuff is done at all yet. Just about done with the face, when I finsih with the hair I'll throw up another pic for you oh, btw- Does anyone have a good wip or way they can explain how to do the gems on her jewlery to get that cool look to them, the shiny refeltive translucent look. I havnt done alot of that before and something this big wil need to be spot on or it will definatly show up if its not done right. Thanks Chris

tanker22
Well, here is my first attempt at doing gems like this. Thank you for the links VV and Meg. I actually started these before I saw the links though so they look a bit off from the example listed. Kind of had mixed results IMO, there ok I guess, comments?
