All-Terrain Monkey
I dunno, they were able to unstick him in time for class. Maybe he should've glued his back to the headboard.
kristof65
That sounds like something my son will do. <shakes head> The extreme things kids will do to get their way....
CuCulain42
at least he was smart enough to leave one hand free to operate the remote.
Helltown
At least it wasn't a story about gluing himself to.... himself. Then he'd be maligned as being unoriginal. If I'd done something like this, my mom would've likely disassembled my bed and said "Have fun at school!" as she shoved me out the door still attached to the headboard. LMAO - my mom would have been too pissed off to do that, but after she calmed down, I bet that's exactly what she would have wished she had done. Ok, this kid had a plan - a fairly good one in the short term, and he obviously thought part of it out - like leaving one hand free for the remote. Of course, he obviously didn't think the entire plan through - like what happens when he has to pee. So, the question becomes - has he learned his lesson well enough to think things through a lot better next time, or is he a future Darwin Award candidate? fieldarchy
I don't think he's dumb enough to be a future Darwin award, I think this kid has some brains but he just needs to learn to get better at it. I still give him props. It was at least a plan and like Cucu said he was smart enough to keep one hand unglued to operate the remote. Kheprera
Of course, such would not work in my house. I have super-glue remover as standard stock, plus any mini-painter knows the tricks to removing glue. Of course, industrial glue is a little different, but at least it wasn't something like JB Weld. Mad Jack
If he was really smart about it, he should have glued his mother's bedroom door shut, and been far away when she managed to open it... My mother would have beaten me unconscious, ripped my hand off the bedpost, and dragged my bleeding corpse onto the schoolbus, lol... SaintRigger
I think I would have glued all my furniture to the ceiling - then when mom came in to wake me up, I'd sit on the floor rubbing my head like I fell. In the confusion, I'd make my escape. It would totally work. :)
fieldarchy
hmmm Saint maybe you need to go teach this boy a thing or two then
Qwyksilver
Jeez, way too much effort. I just told my mom I had a really bad headache and thought I was developing another killer sinus infection. So long as I didn't use it too often, it was a slam dunk get out of school free card. Or I'd just wait for my mom to leave for work and then walk back home from the bus stop with threats to kill my brother if he told. Our school never called if a kid wasn't there, and I was legitimately sick enough when I was younger that they stopped asking for absence notes
