Nanite
I just ran across Crusoe's Alien Away Team. I really need to get these guys painted. Plus there's only six of em.
warlordgarou
Update on mine - getting rid of the FoW German pile o' lead, and picking up a coherent 1500 pt MW British Motor Company instead. Fewer figs, all in one box, and I know what I have. I added a bunch of Khador and Cygnar though, as well as some more Ogre figs. I would be making some progress, but unfortunately, my major painting lately has been the basement floor and walls, which don't count. DavidVC04
I have 19 more Ogres to paint, not including characters. 4 Gorgers. A Tyrant. A Butcher. And something like 80 gnoblars, 88 with Trappers, which might as well be 8,000 Gnoblars. Like I'm going to paint those, right. I intend to knock these out ASAP and return to Vampire Counts. Got some nice Reaper minis for my Spectral army.
Rastl
I've got an entire elf army on the painting table. ugh.
Sergeant_Crunch
I am so ready for this stupid move to be over. I want to paint and play again dangit!
warlordgarou
I am so ready for this stupid move to be over. I want to paint and play again dangit! You mean that we can actually play games with these figures? Really? I haven't gamed in months - neither RPG, nor tabletop, and MMORPGs don't count. Sergeant_Crunch
Then lay off the MMORPGs. I'm actually kind of glad Sony screwed Star Wars Galaxies. I spend the time I used to spend on there painting or playing. Well, when I'm not trying to get a house ready to sell anyway.
Castlebuilder
Right now I'm finishing up some Ritterlich minis for the CAV scenarios at Origins. It's something like 36 CAV, 44 vehicles, 12 aircraft, and 80+ infantry stands. Throw in work on the boards, civilian vehicles, ruined buildings, and work on the Warlord game too, I'm gonna be really busy the next couple of weeks. Vil-hatarn
Think I'll add myself to this thread, now that I'm making progress... In the last week, I assembled 20 WHF high elven spearelves, finished painting 4 WHF high elf shadow warriors, and just started work on various CAV and Warlord demo force models. In total, I have...lots. In terms of what I want to do this year....finish assembling my WHF High Elves (15 phoenix guard, 7 dragon princes which includes sculpting on the horses, and a few miscellaneous models), paint all of my BL demo forces, and make some progress on painting my own CAV and Warlord models. warlordgarou
Then lay off the MMORPGs. The MMORPGs aren't the problem. My previous gaming group fell apart, and round here, I have my choice of clicky games or D&D. I could drive 40-60 miles (each way) and maybe get in a game of something else, but it's slim pickings. (Actually, there is a 40k group about 30 miles away, but they play at a time I cannot make.) I haven't been able to do demos in some time, due to personal reasons, but that's going to change soon. I am goofing off in CoH now, but I have to be near the monitor since the baby is not yet asleep. Once she is finally out for the night, I intend to go down to the basement and start assembling and priming things.
tombwalker
Got three 40K armies to "finish off" if you can ever do that. Chaos Space Marines, Space Marines (own chapter) and Necrons. Then i've got combat patrols of Tyranids, Gaurd and Orks to finish of for junior gaming club I help run. Got Dark Elf and Dwarf armies to fininsh off for fantasy. Dwarves are only just started, base coated and stuck on bases. Also finishing of my eldests black orcs unit for his army for a game in the coming summer holidays. PurityThruFire
I finally knocked the dust off my brushes and I'm back to working on both Cryx and Menoth pieces.
warlordgarou
I still haven't finished cataloging everything that I want to paint in the "near-future." I quit counting the Warmaster figs - what I have listed is probably no more than 5% of the total, since I primed several hundred bases worth of figs earlier this year (but they never made the list). I've actually got almost all my Marines trimmed, assembled & primed (4 scout squads, 4 rhinos, a land raider, 3 dreads, a predator, 6 tac squads, 3 vet squads all ready for painting), my Tau almost completely ready for paint (just have to assemble the crisis suit commander), my Imperial Guard almost done (full armored company of 10 Leman Russ, 6 squads, 3 heavy weapons, baneblade, chimera, command, stormtrooper), and most of my CAV and FoW stuff is in process of being painted. Unfortunately, I am adding Orks, which means another 150 or so figs. But on the bright side, by the end of the year, most of what I use for play will be assembled, primed, and hopefully with base colors on most of it. There's a lot of progress from January; it's just not always visible.
Rastl
I finally settled on a color scheme for my elves so those will be up on the paint block very soon. I have a class I'm running at the local game store on army painting but if it is like the other classes I've had recently I'll be teaching and will have zero time for personal painting. Which isn't bad. Now I just need to set aside a few blocks of time every week when I can sit down and paint.
warlordgarou
Now I just need to set aside a few blocks of time every week when I can sit down and paint. That's my main problem too. I am hoping to squeeze out 30 minutes or so a night - it's not really enough time to get into the flow (so to speak), but it's a lot more likely to happen than getting a solid 4 hour block in every week. I'll take what I can get - slow daily progress is better than no progress at all.
