Moderator Froggy the Great Posted January 23, 2008 Moderator Share Posted January 23, 2008 It happens all the time: you set up shop, get a really good lightning storm, and you're mid-cackle when the power goes out. Well, no more! Guaranteed to withstand even the maddest of power fluctuations, the Power Frobulator will even frotz any heroes foolish enough to intrude! Even the best and most dedicated minion sometimes has an independent thought, or lisps his vowels instead of consonants, or even takes an apple pie to that one village girl who brings along the pitchfork-wielding mob for the second date. Well, no more! This device renders you in complete control of the hopes and dreams of these, your worm-witted sniveling thralls! It happened again: There's a bloody great rock formation right where you wanted to run your plasma conduits. Well, no matter, have your servile accomplices drag this beauty over, and throw the lever! Guaranteed to leave precision holes in rock, townsfolk, pre-swiss cheese, you name it! For those dark and stormy evenings out, where you're within sight of the perfect brain, and then your rival's robotic minions come barge in and get there first. Well, no longer! Just a twist of the preset timer before you leave, and you shall confound your rival and the robotic nuisance will be rendered immobile in their tracks! The inevitable will happen to you - some meddling kid will sneak into the lair and trip an alarm. While Igor shuffles madly about to locate that damnable ringing, you could better use him on the HeroFrotzer instead. Now, you can monitor your alarm from one labyrintine location, rather than many, and maybe even frotz that hero while you're at it. Sorry, nothing creative for this one. The guy who normally writes the ad-copy for The New Journal of Malology is currently floating, gaseus, within those tubes there. We're, uh, working on it.

Rastl
As always, you made me snort milk out my nose. Well, I would have done so if I had been drinking milk whilst reading this. But I've learned.
ixminis
Rastl -> I don't want to know what came out in lieu of the milk Frosch -> Love it!!! maybe I need to stop practicing my painting and practice my converting-skillz!!!
Rastl
Michael - everyone knows I drink margaritas while I'm painting/building/chatting/anything else. But I also know to set down any beverages whilst looking at Froggy's stuff. As much as I love these I know I can't do anything like them. So I'll stick with the terrain and pieces I do well and laugh myself silly over Froggy's stuff.
Ironworker
Amazing! However this is one thing that disappoints me about these gadgets. You've yet to construct a secret volcanic lair on an uncharted Pacific Island to put them all in.

Orsino
It happens all the time: you set up shop, get a really good lightning storm, and you're mid-cackle when the power goes out. Well, no more! Guaranteed to withstand even the maddest of power fluctuations, the Power Frobulator will even frotz any heroes foolish enough to intrude! These are all wonderful, but there's a safety issue. I can see that the transducing coils on the power Frobulator* are reversed in polarity! I hope this message reaches you before the next storm, and that you can correct the issue before a phase overload completely frotzes the main relays. Unless you're counting on this to happen when the heroes approach. Ah! Is that a remote-control contraflangulator release? In that case, well done. Diabolical, even. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!! *Named for the Hungarian paraphysicist Nicholas Frobula, who discovered the effect approximately 45 milliseconds before his disappearance.

kristof65
As always Froggy, brilliant. Not sure what's better - the devices or the descriptions.
gowestover
These are great, and the captions are hilarious! On a more serious note, who is the manufacturer?
kristof65
On a more serious note, who is the manufacturer? Of the actual mad science devices themselves - Froggy is. They are some of his famed kitbashes. Take a real close look at them, and you'll start to recognize pieces and shapes from electronic circuit boards, watches, etc.
