Hi! Nice job on the wings....

The only thing I would watch is the highlights on the red skirt go to white too quickly. Take a very thinned down red and wash over the whole skirt and that will blend them in a bit. :)

thanks, i was planning on doing that, every time i see it it looks too bright, for sure ill defently get thouse colors and go over it, thanks :D

Good job PSx, but I would really suggest a couple layers of glazes on the skirt, not really sure what you were attempting to do there.

Also I would hit the wings with a darker wash to bring out the texture of the feathers.I like the designs you did on her face and I'm diggin' the paler flesh tone.

Keep on painting!

I redid the highlight of the skirt i wasnt liking how bright the white came out, so i retouched it with carnage red, and it looks much better.

Though i have a question Im having problems with keeping her wings on her back, I tried Super glue but its not just cutting it i think, Maybe some Epoxy?

those puppies are HEAVY! Your best bet is going to be to drill a small hole into the back of the angel, then one in the wings where they touch the back-when I say small, think paperclip. Glue a piece of wire/paperclip (otherwise known as a pin) into one of the holes with a two part epoxy, then, after it's dry, glue the other end into the other piece with the same stuff. This will give the glue more gripping space and make you a happy person!

ah thanks, that really helps, I also noticed that the wings ended up pelling a small portion of the paint completely off, basically gripping it self to the paint and making a miniature suction cup. So far its holding steady but for certain i will defenetly look into getting some wire and a small drill.

thanks :D

You'll want to try to get the pin as straight as possible so it's easier to get the other side to line up. Once you've drilled the hole in the body and set the pin in straight, line up the wings so they're in the right position and carefully mark the location where you're going to drill the hole in the wings. Always check to see how the pieces fit together and find the best way to pin them - the pin may not always end up being set at 90 degree angles to both surfaces you're pinning...

Your local hobby shop or possibly even hardware store should have a pin vise, which is essentially a smaller version of the handle that comes with an X-acto knife so you can switch out the different blades, only with the pin vise you can switch out drill bits of different sizes... They sell different sizes of hobby bits, and you can also go to the local big box home supply store and get a selection of small bits from Dremel and the other companies that make the rotary tools. Bits tend to break often, but they're cheap and easily replaced.

If you can't get one locally, there's a lot of places to find them online.

Anybody who paints minis that come in multiple parts will find that their pin vise is slightly more useful than their left lung, lol. In addition to pinning together large parts, you also use a pin vise during a weapon swap or other conversion - after you cut a weapon out of a guy's hand, you use the pin vise to drill out the center of the hand so you can open it to put in the new weapon.
