WolfDreamerNZ
Well here he is - my comeback mini. I will have to relearn paint thinning and the blending/layering technique as I found it really difficult but he is the first of what I hope are many to come this year....one down - many more to go! EDIT: I think my monitor is set quite bright - is this too dark for most of you?

mattmcl
That's really nice work. I love your reds. I'm jealous. Yes, the pics do seem too dark.
TomBom
Looks good! Paint seems a bit thick at points, but otherwise it looks great. Nice colours, nice mini and the new eye looks good too ;) I really like the amulet on his back.
Sergeant_Crunch
I haven't really stopped painting since I started and I still can't paint that well consistently.
WolfDreamerNZ
Thanks guys. I appreciate the compliments. TomBom - you're right - esp on the horns - I always struggled with paint consistency - went through the too thick stage for the first year of painting - then went too thin and then finally worked it out just before I stopped. But I'll get there! I'll try for better lighting on my next photos...thanks again for all your help!
PurityThruFire
Fantastic job! Doesn't really look lik eyou have too much to work on at all. Looks to me like you are well above and beyond in your painting skills. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for the year!
WolfDreamerNZ
Thanks hon...there is always more I want to learn. I think my three big things for now are going to be - getting greater contrast in my figures, making eyes easier and smoother blends. Then I will get into NMM, OSL and all the other initialized techniques....
Thes Hunter
Love the horns, love the highlights on the cloak back, love the turquoise gems in the medallion, and I even loved the eye when it had been open. I think this looks really great!
