Reaperbryan
Chaaya- Reptus Clutchling Seargeant: Sorry but I just don't like this at all. Head looks like a turtle. Stance is terrible. Um.. he is a turtle. Chaaya is sergeant over the clutchlings, but is not himself a clutchling. He is a turtle. I point this out because you say "head looks like a turtle" like it's a bad thing, when, in fact, it is exactly what we were going for. Otherwise, carry on the conversation, I'll be over here... oh, and here's a direct link for those that want it: http://www.reapermini.com/Greens
ZILLA
OK, so he is a turtle. Didn't know Reptus were getting turtle characters. Still a bad stance, don't like the mini.
Stubbdog
I have to say, I LOVED the artwork for Chhaya whenI saw it a couple months ago while visiting Reaper. My memory might be a bit foggy, but this doesnt look anything like that artwork. And from what I remember Chhaya was a bulked up Clutchling, not a turtle. Gus turned down my turtle warrior idea. But, it was a couple months ago when I saw the art. So, I might be wrong. Either way, I am not very happy with this one. Dont like the head or atleast not from this angle. I am guessing its suppose to represent a snapping turtle, but looks more like skexys from the movie dark crystal (bird whose feathers got plucked). And although I do like the concept of the multiple knee, I don't like his stiff legged, stiff back zombie look to him. But, the good news is, the proxy rules will let me get past this. It's just unfortunate cause I remember liking that artwork so much. I remember thinking that it was going to be one of the best Reptus yet based on the drawings. Oh well. Stubbdog
Oh, and although I wont buy them til Christmas, I will definitely be buyins some of those monster snowmen. Heck, I can see proxying them on the Warlord table... That would be awesome to see a horde of monster snowmen sliding across to eat the enemy. And Marise. Initial opinon is simply WOW! joshuaslater
I like the turtle sarge. I'm hoping for a unit of these guys. I'll buy him. The snowmen are a fun novelty model, and some GM somewhere with a fun group will put'em on the table. I'm glad to see a Kobold king. I like this whole batch. claymoore
The Marise has quite a wow factor. It's on my list but I hope it will not be $25 like the MS Jonas Kane.
joshuaslater
The turtle's got that "sarge" look to him. Not every pose has to be Matrix inspired, anime flying, like the Paintenders, propped up by a billowing cloak.
dargrin
I like the snowman. They are very Calvin and Hobbes like.
joshuaslater
Right on the money with the Calvin and Hobbes comparison.
Stubbdog
The turtle's got that "sarge" look to him. Not every pose has to be Matrix inspired, I agree with you. But, you have to understand that my opinion is biased based on the fact that I did get to see the concept art on him.
kristof65
I like the turtle sarge. I'm hoping for a unit of these guys. I'll buy him. Me too - I'm gonna proxy this guy into my WFB Lizardman army, leading a bunch of the new 03272 : Spikeshell Warriors (2) . My only complaint about him, and this based purely on the picture and therefore could be merely the angle of the picture, is that he doesn't appear to have much of a shell. I'll probably wind up bulking out the shell with a little green stuff if I still feel that way upon picking him up.
joshuaslater
I'm wondering why the Spikeshell Warriors didn't make the cut for the Reptus army. It might have given some originality to the Reptus.

Moderator TaleSpinner Posted January 29, 2008 Moderator Share Posted January 29, 2008 I like the turtle guy. I think the stiffness is what a turtle should look like. TS
