KatieS
Mine is contemplated and pondered. That is all. Hmm. Haha, that's pretty close to where I am. Well, OK, maybe one step further since I took off the broccoli base in preparation for basing. Hmm, IF I don't change my mind about what figure I am going to use that is. So many shiny minis, so little time...
Pyreos
I finally got more primer (looong time coming) and a few new minis, which means I'll probably get in a few hard hours tonight at least!
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted February 22, 2008 Moderator Share Posted February 22, 2008 well somehow i lost the arms for the mini i was gonna do. so i will be starting later than i expected. so off to the mini store this weekend to pick up a new mini. Eh. Tentacles instead of arms give a mini character.
Thes Hunter
I have my mini choosen. I just have to interface w/ the BF to see what minis he is wanting to order to represent his characters in an upcoming RPG. Our Friendly Neighborhood hobby store does not have any Reaper minis for sale. Which is too bad, so alas I must order. Anyways, I anticipate having the minis table unpacked enough this weekend that by the time the mini arrives I can begin cleaning it up. Ack! I just realized our current batch of sub zero temps means no outside priming for me. I guess that means I get to do it by hand. Aw well, it goes on smoother that way aways. *plots, plots, plots*
Stahler77
I have identified the figure, one that had been in my collection for some time. So far I've managed to get it stripped of a previous painting attempt and properly cleaned. Temps are lower than I like for priming but hopefully I'll start on it in the next week or so
brushforhire
well, i hit up the mini store this weekend, and bought a new mini to work with. something i hope fits pretty well within the parameters i have been given. and i promptly, primed and started painting only to have it be the most hated paint job i've done yet. luckly i was only like an hour into it so i promptly broke out the 100% acetone and stripped it down to bare metal. and started again! This time i got the exact feel i was shooting for and couldn't be happier. Now to get it finished.
sethohman
Mine should be in the mail Saturday...... Mike
cutebutpsycho
I finished too! It's not in the mail yet as it's still drying, then needs to be hit with a finishing coat, but it's done! And its something that is outside my 'comfort zone' but I think I did alright.......
KatieS
Bloody overachievers! Uh, mine's on it's base now... Once I get my current commissions done, then I'll be able to work on it :)
kristof65
Bloody overachievers! Uh, mine's on it's base now... Once I get my current commissions done, then I'll be able to work on it :) I found the secret to that this time around - have lots of half finished minis sitting around waiting to be finished. In my case, I may have sent mine off, but when you consider my performance in the last two exchanges I participated in, I'm even - 3 days late on the first one, 5 weeks late on the second, and 6 weeks ahead on this one. Pyreos
I just wrapped up the paint job, and am basing it now. Should be in the mail tomorrow.
KatieS
I found the secret to that this time around - have lots of half finished minis sitting around waiting to be finished. Interesting. One of the minis I was considering was about half done, but I wanted to do something a little different with my basing, so I couldn't use him... Ah, well, now that I am doing some commissions, I am learning to paint faster! Should be able to get started this weekend.
Thes Hunter
Blast it all! *shakes fist* And here I thought I was doing good because I spent the evening unpacking the downstairs and getting my painting area ready to go. And here a bunch of people are already done! Looks like I need to get to work on my fig.
kazmania7
Not to worry Thes Hunter, mine keeps on backfiring on me, base fell apart after it was done and I'm really crappy trying to fix things after its already been painted, the more I try to touch up the figure the more botches i get. Plus I'm tempted not to do the finally pinning, just send it along and my mini-pal can choose to add the piece or not, sorry mini-pal you dont know wut a nightmare pinning is for me. But the good news is that I took a week vacation for a dentist appointment so I don't have to worry about taking the pain-killers for work. Opps! Sorry mini-pal maybe that's not such good news. Well hoping to have mine done by the end of vacation at any rate. End of update. Luck and Later Kaz
TomBom
I've been a bit delayed cause I didn't have proper bases and had to order them and the order hasn't arrived... However, as I looked around I managed to find one, so I'm going to finish the mini this weekend. Hooray! Just a little more work, hopefully posting it on Monday.
