outek
Been keeping an eye on it. Would be more enjoyable if it weren't a tad bit on the cool side out here.
haldir
cloudy as heck here tonight, would have been nice to see it. RM
GreyHorde
Nearly perfect! I've never had the pleasure of seeing one so near totality. In previous events it was always cloudy or I just missed it, or it was partial. This is the best one I've ever seen.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted February 21, 2008 Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2008 And the stars are right - Regulus, Saturn. the bloody moon, all in a perfect triangle. "... can eat 2d10 investigators per round with its tentacles." Fhtagn!
Guest I am not a number
I love lunar eclipses it's the best time to summon Satan.
Spike
Dude... leave Satan alone wouldya? He's busy. It's an election year don'tcha know! I got a pretty good view down here, though a thin layer of clouds rolled in through the second half of its totality. Still I got some cool pictures..and as soon as my camera battery recharges I'll upload a few.
Warlady
Wouldncha know - last night was a beautiful clear night with a gorgeous moon. Tonight - clouds and thunder and lightning. Oh, well...but I've seen my share of lunar eclipses, ever since I was a tot - my dad is an astronomer. ;-)
Spike
Wheee! PHOTOS! And 2 more >> HERE and HERE The third photo is a bit bright so you can really see all those stars. And yes, I do believe that is Regulus and Saturn. (let me know if those don't work for you. My website has been real hit-and-miss for the past two months)
Dragon Snack
And in a twist of irony, after I posted that in came a bank of clouds (and snow) to obscure my view... By midnight it was clear enough to see the moon again - but by then it was too late.
Enchantra
DS, the clouds didn't find us down here. Then again I'm not as close to the lake as you are. I stayed up as late as 9:30 but just couldn't stay up any longer. I'm doing a marathon work week with extra hours at job#2 and teaching an extra class at Michaels over and above what I already had planned there. So I was able to see part of the eclipse, just not all of it.

Guest I am not a number
In the darkness I will shine, cast not shadows, nor define I walk on water, float on air, there's no other to compare I have this fascination, no cause for a deviation It's called levitation levitation levitation There's no cause to start and scream, nor rub your eyes, this is no dream Although I sit upon this chair, I rise and float up in the air I have this fascination, no cause for a deviation It's called levitation levitation levitation Magnetic force, repel-attract, once it starts, there's no turning back I offer you this chance to learn, take it now there's no return
kristof65
thanks for posting those shots guys - it was cloudy here - could still see the moon through the clouds, but more as a fuzzy blur of light, so the eclipse didn't look too good.
