I don't dislike Top Quality Russian Weasel Butt Fur, I just call 'em like a see 'em... It's fur from the keesters of russian weasels.

So... Soon for registration, so that means Now would be a good time to get one of those pesky rechargeable credit cards 'cause the shopping cart doesn't really like my bank card much :P

However you won't need the rechargeable for shopping first hand in the asylum at the convention. I've had no issues with cards there and neither has anyone else to my knowledge. The online store is the only place I've run into card issues before.

Making a list now of what you want to buy there sans shipping charges is a great idea. And if you feel you can't get your pewter home with you on the plane because you've bought so much, or are afraid the NTSA might confiscate it, Reaper usually let's you use their shipping services via UPS for a fee.

Helltown - yeppers.

You will have a few days once they announce when registration starts. They're normally nice enough to give us a 'heads up' so we can all be at our computers attempting to get tickets to the hottest classes for the year. :poke:

Then you can buy your convention ticket and buy your classes at the same time.

Last year they held back some seats for the classes and offered them closer to the convention date for those silly people who don't obsessively read the forums. So even if one you want does sell out there's a good chance you can get it later.

As the class list firms up I seem to remember the classes being posted in advance of the actual purchase date so you have time to look at the schedule and decide which ones to take. Some of them are offered more than once so you can take them on different days.

I'm hoping the work John like the All Terrain Monkey that he is and offer his "How Not To Suck" several times in the first half of the convention. That class makes the others much more useful.

Remember to leave yourself time! The classes are wunnerful but there are also people to hang with, sculptors to marvel over, painters to pester and Reaper peeps to meet. The paint and take area is open the entire duration of the convention and is used continually. So expect socializing and expect to be able to sit down and ask someone how they do something. And then slap paint until you get it right.

So.

Um.

Short answer - yes. Go ahead and get your pre-loaded card for the registration purchase.

Enchantra - I already plan on bringing some Priority Mail Flat rate boxes in my luggage to ship pewter to various places. A friend in Ohio is already working on his wish list because well... he started drooling when he heard I was going to ReaperCon as part of my vacation (the second half is visiting them in Ohio). It's really kinda funny because it's usually the other way around, he's going to a convention and I'm begging for stuff to be brought back.

Rastl - I hope 'How Not To Suck' is early enough in the class schedule too, that's one of the classes I really want to take.

I might just use the store's PayPal account to take care of registration and reimburse it, I found out this morning that my bank charges a fee to both get and use those cards that makes them not worth it. We'll see how things are going as it gets closer to registration time.

Registration for the weekend is about $40, right? How much are the classes?

Ah, the excitement builds. I really can't wait! I'm more excited about ReaperCon than Gen Con right now! And I'll be doing something new and special that will need lots of people to come be friendly and keep me company while I do it. Yeah, it's a good experience for the soul...friends that share our passion and we get to indulge in it as much as we want to. Gah! I'm getting downright bouncy about everything! :upside:
