spiritual_exorcist
Just seems the the operative thing to do is make sure you mob the Lupines and take them down one at a time, if I have 4-5 models attacking each Lupine I can afford to lose 3 damage tracks to defensive strikes because I'll be taking out a 100 point model in the process. The main thing is to overcome the Fearsome which requires models with reasonable Discipline, or at least several target options so that if you fail one test you can try again on another nearby model. Truthfully the return to the old version of Fearless is one of my least like changes to RC08, but in the grand scheme of things the pluses on 08 far outweigh the negatives. Reinchard
I'd like to draw common attention to the following: Mercy. Shouldn't there be more restrictions, against which models it can be used? What can be a mercy for daemons or golems, for example? I can't see another SA than Berserker or Undead, that allows automatic Dis check, thus cancelling mercy. That would be more logic, although in this case mercy will be weakened. A cumbersome list of allowed models is hardly a solution, but may be something like SA Willpower, that wouldn't allow to take a model under control? That needs not to cost points. It's possible to create other means to subjugate enemy models, for example with costly spell, to make such a SA more relevant. And with the reducing of eligible models mercy can be strengthened a bit, for example -1 Dis for a frendly model in btb. Or subjugate an undamaged model if Dis is too low. This needs not much playtesting, either.
vejlin
Don't you mean fearsome? Fearless is pretty much unaltered. I like the change to fearsome, it makes DIS a stat that matters. Did anyone bother looking at the DIS stat when building an army prior to this change? I know I didn't.
Brushmaster
Mercy doesn't work against models without "tough" or undead , and you want to nerf it more !

The change in fearsome helped a lot, but the speed of the lupines (move 8 and bonus charge 4) enabled me to feint at his right flank and then hammer his left leaveing him way out of position. I didn't do it this time but you could also throw in Burst of speed, and really leave the dwarves in the dust. Also figure that the units I attack already had their activation. Sure I'm using a lot of tactics, but the abilities of the lupines make it easy. Even when he got in he was battling a defense 14 and My raged attacks weakened him severely. I lined up 12 Dwarves for one blow through, and the line breakers with +8 to hit on a critical is awesome. I also blessed all three before shooting and Vasyl was able to get within point blank range of the first five in the blow through attack. Like I said I used a lot of tactics and timing, but the Koborlas abilities made those tactics obvious and incredibly effective. The abilities synergize with each other very effectively. Saint Vierzehn
The Zombie data card lists their troop type as Adept. The Crypt Legion sublist lists them as grunts, but does not list them in the "Models change from Adept to Grunt" section. Please clarify. -StV.
