smokingwreckage
March 2008 issue, here: http://www.fictionalreality.org/ Fictional Reality, a downloadable PDF Gaming E-Zine, this month features a Reven army (built for Warlord in last month's issue?) getting plonked. joshuaslater
Mark Theurer is an all around good guy, and his online mag is pretty cool. It's more work than most of us do to propel the hobby!! I would think Warlord models would be protected more with a dip; many of them have Toughness, so you push them over on occasion, and if you play enough games, somebody's gonna get chipped. I've never really tried dipping it's similar to the overall wash technique I used sometimes. I wonder if you could highlight over the minwax dip just in places. Blocking in the colors then doing a very bright one layer highlight then dipping or even doing a bright drybrush. Figured I'd get a good gradient that way. Not sure I would do it with every type of troop but I could see where it would come in handy for some.
morganm
I finally read this article last week. I must say I like the end results given the time invested on each piece. I'd like to try this! Are there any other dipping guides or tutorials anyone could recommend?
Sergeant_Crunch
There was one done a while back by Ugluk69. The thread might still be hanging around if you care to search for it. I think it was in the painting advice forum.
