Sergeant_Crunch
...the Fort Riley, KS area? Apparently I get to move soon.
kristof65
Oh fun... Define close - Google Maps says I'm 494 miles – about 7 hours 12 mins away. That's closer than you are now.
Sergeant_Crunch
Let's say around an hour's drive.
Joe Kutz
Who did you tick off to get that assignment? If I remember right Topeka is about an hour drive and there was at least one store there (Gatekeeper or something like that). Down the road a bit further in Lawrence there are two or three. Two hours or so will get you into KC. There are a few stores there as well. It's been several years though since I have been down that direction...though the last TDY I had to Fort Riley - there weren't any stores that were local. Sergeant_Crunch
Actually, all I did was send an email asking if there were any slots in South Korea. I know Spartan6 is (or was) in the Topeka area, though haven't seen him round these parts in some time.
vutpakdi
So, they mixed up South Korea with Kansas somehow? It's close, in a way. Both have a 'K', 'S', and 'A' in them. Little mixup in communication. Ron
sethohman
11 hours is a bit better than the 19 you were before - but probably still outside the realm of doability. Maybe a weekend trip or something. Jump services! WPAFB has all sorts of CAV gaming, and is central to Indianapolis, Cincinatti, and Columbus! Edit - but then of course you would live in Ohio, and no one wants that. Mike
wildbill
You could always breeze down to Tulsa sometime. Wild Bill
Reaperbryan
Denton's a weekend trip! I've done it, when Shaun moved down here, I drove to Topeka and back in one day to help him move stuff! Heck - I'll even let you crash at Casa de Reaperbryan overnight if that means you'll be at the Asylum tourneys!

That and I just changed my residency from Ohio to Texas, why would I want to go back? (well aside from my parents being just a couple hours away) Denton's a weekend trip! Don't know that I'll take it up just yet, kinda depends on what I end up doing up there.
Catman Jim
Two hours or so will get you into KC. There are a few stores there as well. I'm an hour north of KC, and there's nothing here but cornfields & stockyards. I get my gaming fix about every other month by driving to Overland Park, Kansas, where they have Tabletop Game & Hobbies, the Battleground, and 31st Century Games. Sergeant_Crunch
Provided I'm actually at Ft Riley at the time and not in a country that ends in -raq or -ghanistan.
