Mad Jack
I'm so poor right now I couldn't afford to buy bases, so I saved some money by basing this thing on the money itself - it's sitting on a pair of quarters. It's for the 13yr. old daughter of my bro's girlfriend. The photography sucks, of course... (It really does have highlights on it, I swear....)
Prophet
Prety sure that bases arent 50 cents a piece, but it still looks good. The baing looks very nice. And the mini looks the same as well.
tanker22
Very evil looking little dude, nice work. I like the base, think you did a good job on it
Thes Hunter
I love it! I really love the colors you used and how you painted the wings. I think you did very well. I like the way the two quarters look as a base, I also really like how you mounted her on a rock. Her.. right? Well she looks like a girl... aren't all fairies girls anyways? Anyway, Great job, and yes we can see the highlights in the photo.
Mad Jack
Actually, it's a him. Not only does it not have breasts, it doesn't even have nipples. Which is, well, kinda creepy, lol.
Spike
I really like the overall effect. The wings are perfect and the base is a good idea for making what would otherwise be an inconspicuously tiny mini have a bit more presence without detracting from its .... fairynessity? wyrmgear
Very nice! Great choice of color and nice brush control (serious- ). I just opened my familiar pack this morning (doing some cleaning in the hobby room) and saw just how tiny this mini is- wow.
Mad Jack
Aside from drybrushing the rock and base, pretty much the whole thing was painted with either a 3/0 or 5/0 brush under my 5x magnifier. Talk about trying to do brain surgery with a broadsword, sheesh... My last three projects have all been really small, so in order to save my eyesight and sanity, I think the next one's gonna be something big, or at least average size, lol. Now, having said that, who wants to bet the next thing that shows up on these forums with my name on it is just as tiny?
Spike
You should give yourself a break and paint up a nice big garden gnome. Come to mention it, might be kinda fun to have a garden-gnome-painting competition.
