DavidVC04
My wife got me the perfect birthday gift. Ah, satisfaction.
Vil-hatarn
I've got almost the exact same one! It's pretty good, though the "tripod" that came with it was worthless.
haldir
looks like the one I got at Walmart a few months back, but I've yet to use the darn thing. Mainly cause of the lights in it are not very useful & I just need to pick up some clamp lights. nice gift thou!! RM
Spike
Any spouse that gives a guy a mini-related goody for his Bday is an alright gal. I was in our WalMart last night, but did not see any of those sets. They must be pretty popular to stay sold out like that.
DavidVC04
Turns out she really overpaid for it. Most likely we'll be shipping it back and buying from somewhere else or looking for a different model. I've seen a fair number of negative reviews about it online. Hinton
A girl I was dating a few months back bought me one of these for Christmas. It's pretty nice, but the lights are a bit on the dim side. I've tried finding replacement bulbs that are brighter, but no luck there. And yeah, the tripod isn't very good either. Still, the tent itself is pretty nice. Sharky
Hey now, that's pretty neat. It never occurred to me that light boxes for miniatures were sold commercially. It might be time to trade up my ailing home-brew one for something like this.

I know what you mean. :) I have folded paper, boxes to get minis nearer the lights, and have to tape more paper to nearby reflective surfaces. It'll be nice to do away with that. wyrmgear
Gratz man, even if the physical doesn't meet your expectation, remember the act itself speaks volumes.
Joe Kutz
RadioShack Lightbox While wandering around lost in the mall today (waiting for the wife to complete her monthly hair/nail stuff), I saw that same box over at RadioShack. Looked a bit different than the Walmart one - not sure on the specs on the lights themselves though (or the dimensions). The box though looks identical to the one above. Interesting how the RadioShack website has no dimensions for the lightbox. I would think (based on price) that it is a bit smaller than the one MallWart sells (15-16"), but most people will be fine with a smaller box with minis (I bought a large one since I also paint larger scale figures).
