Spike
On #2, your shading/highlighting and freehand are both incredible. On #3..HOLY COW lookat that shield! On #1, you did very well with the face. Those tiny features give me fits. On #4, you've done incredibly good work on what I consider a difficult mini. There are just sooo many different surfaces and textures and details to pick out on him... but he's such a great sculpt. (See..I am no good at pretending not to be biased toward orcs) So, keep 'em coming!
Nial ap Morai
Whether you have painted 1 or 8 your work is definately on track, better then a major portion of CMoN. But just even a little work on the base of #1 would do wonders. The other 3 are great, love the orc and the red head
Hadier
Ok, I am in shock and have to ask what are you useing for your golds? i have yet to find a color combination that i like and well i guess i have been more than a little scared to try NMM for some reason. i think the main reason is i have a hard time seeing in my minds eye where the light source is so i tend to have multiple points where the light would be coming from so i have been struggling and hell i have been painting for years now and i think i suck pretty bad
Aniodia
*is speechless* Hey, you wouldn't have happened to see my talent-syphon laying around anywhere, would ya? =D
joe b
I really like the crusader and the redhead has some very nice NMM reflections going on. We need more delurking :)
Fruggs
They are beautiful. Nice work. I am very jealous of teh proximity you have to the Asylum and paint club. Keep painting these are great.
Void
Yes, I have been very fortunate in my location and chances to paint at the Asylum. I am sorry Hadier, but I honestly can not remember what I used for my gold on the shield. I do all my colors by eye and since I am trying to keep experimenting, I have not been writing any of my choices down. I will try to do that in the future though so I can let people know what I used. Definitely do not be scared to try NMM though, I could not have made any progress at all without trying it. (Several of these miniatures have SEVERAL layers of botched NMM under the tries you see) I will do my best to continue delurking.
Helltown
Thanks everyone! Yes, the Orc is actually quite a bit darker and less saturated than the others. I need to get some gravel. I have heard that a mix of sizes is a good idea. I have been fighting to keep May 15-18 free! I will definitely be at ReaperCon if at all possible. If you make it to ReaperCon, I'm going to have to corner you about how you do NMM... I want to try but my own attempts have been well... disasters. Big time. These are truly gorgeous minis
Eostar
My nmm skills are not near yours. I guess I have to stop avoiding the minis with armor and weapons that have been collecting dust on my shelf and get to practising. Loving the freehand too. Great job!
