Last year there was a fair amount of chaotic speed painting goofiness by the artists and teachers. Basically, they wore garbage bag ponchos and had to do what Simon said. Simon says, "paint the mini of the person next to you, while the whole group walks around the table." All the while they are being doused by folks with squirt guns, shooting paint at each other, etc.

I had a lot of fun soaking Jester's mini with a squirt gun while he tried to paint.

I won't be able to stay for the auction. ::(:

Will there be a preview of the items going up for sale so I can have someone bid on stuff for me, proxy style?

Reaper will start putting stuff up on the auction shelf beginning on Thursday and keep adding to it through the weekend. We will be putting a special piece up at 1:30pm on Sunday so everybody should plan on being there by then. The auction is between classes and no other events should be scheduled while the auction is going on. so everyone should have a chance to come by.

You can only use Reaperbucks to bid with and you get them for every class you are in and for playing in some of the games (the Reaper version of Life was quite popular last year) like the Dungeon Crawl and the CAV crawl. I will try to keep my voice intact for the auction so everyone can hear me and you may need a serious jolt of caffeine to keep up with me by Sunday.

In between classes, tourments, playing games that provide reaper bucks, and demos, a few of us play games. <_<

No, really. I seen Panzer Blitz, some space game I didnt catch the name of, open warlord and cav on open gamming boards. One of the largest cav games I have seen was played at a Reaporcon.

If you bring it, we will play.....

and if you dont I have my own. ::P:

I'm attending for the first time this year. I purchased tickets and painting class tickets online, but didn't receive any confirmation emails, probably because my spam blocker was set too high. I printed the invoices.

So how do tickets work? Do I just give my name or do I really need to have something physical to present?

Thank you in advance for any demystification!

You'll get everything you need in a pack at the door. Last year they used Pro Paint blister cards with stickers for the class tickets. So not only did you get a ticket you got swag points!

Dunno how they're handling it this year.

Yup

McG, you should have no worries about what you bought, just give them your name or if your a old-timer like myself & others, they'll recognize you pretty quickly. If you make it to the Weds Meet & Greet, they might even give your packet that day. (Frosch or ReaperBryan did for me last year).

Just go into the con thinking you'll have a good time & you'll be in the right mind set for the entire time. Heck still recall my first year in 05 when I went. I was full of questions. ha ha

Didnt I see somewhere that the auction was actually going to be on Saturday night this time around?

For some reason I just remember seeing that somewhere.

Oh, and am surprised that no one has mentioned the dungeon crawls yet, amongst the many things going on.
