72moonglum
Hi guys, here's another Heritage Dwarf I completed last week. The picture's not the greatest and there's too much shadow under his cloak but oh well.
Chapien
It is pretty good, but the elf from your other heritage post looks the same size as the dwarf. Are elves in Heritage the size of dwarves?
gowestover
Looks great, Moonglum!! I especially like the way you do the beard and NMM on the axe. All your greys and metals always look great. Purple cloak is nice, too. Chapien - No, Heritage dwarves are shorter than elves. This is just a matter of the way Moonglum has photographed each mini. Spike
Aww he's cute! Yeah I know I normally preserve the awwwing and squeeing for orcs, but I like the style of the sculpt and what you've done with him. The purple and pink gives him a sort of Disney look...which I say with the utmost respect. Snow White is one of my favourite Disney movies. I also like what you've done with the shield. I know some of those older models, especially the lead ones, don't have much detail to work with, but you did quite well bringing out what details are available. GREAT job! 72moonglum
Hi Chapien - the dwarf actually comes up to about the shoulder of the elf minatures! Hi Spike - no insult taken on the Disneyesqueness of it al! Quite accidental, really. Sometimes I just don't know what colors to paint and often go into painting a miniature with no idea at all what I'm going to use as a color palette until I'm actually at the point I need to decide or quit. wyrmgear
I am really digging the flesh tones on this guy. And hey, it takes a really tough dwarf to wear pink! unless he is just well onto his cups... Seriously, this mini looks great.
treide
Nice job as always, Moonglum. I particularly like the profile view, and agree that the color choices, though unconventional, really work nicely here. I picture him as one of the many dwarves from The Hobbit. When are you going to get Dave at the Dungeon Dwellers site to post these? I'll have to post some more of my oldies here as well - you have inspired me! Keep 'em coming!
