Nial ap Morai
Not too long after I started painting again, I bought an army pack of DHL viking warriors. I painted one with the intent of creating a crimson/deep blood red coat. I had thought I did a fairly decent job. So, when I deployed the viking encounter on my gaming group, I got the standard ooos and aaahs given to newly painted figures. But then it was immediately followed by Oh Sh*^, we are getting attacked by "Santa Viking" and his bearded elves..... The dangers of Red and Green.... And Thank you for your comments
Artists Wren Posted May 29, 2008 Artists Share Posted May 29, 2008 They look good, nice clean paint jobs with strong colours that must make a pretty good impact on the table. I like the mix of dirt and grass on the bases, keeps things more interesting than all one or the other. You might also try adding a rock or branch or what have you now and then for even more variety. The second batch of pictures is a big improvement over the first. Good job!
Nial ap Morai
Thanks for the critiques. Eyes have always been hit or miss, I have to go back and look over some tutorials on eyes and OKF's blending instrutions. I have some basing materials that i can use for rocks, I have been adding to the bases little by little. The archers were my first new paint jobs in a while, I just finsihed priming some undead chain gang guys.
