This was my First Enigma and I dont have many complaints with it. The biggest thing for me was how weak or brittle the metal was but other than that it was a great mini to paint. I did get a lot of inspiration from the other minis like this that have been posted on CMON so thanks to all...um...three of them.Let me know what you guys think. I personally think this is my best mini to date. Thanks everyone in advance.

Nic job, I like the earthy colour choices for this one.

Very realistic looking. The white is nice with the dirty stains.

The book and other leathers are sweet too, very muted and smooth.

The torch is cool with the charred wood at the top, nice touch.

Not sure what I think of the flame. Maybe a little orange or red at the top.

Good work

I like the base as well.

Very nice indeed! Raul Latorre has some amazing sculpts in his Enigma line and your painting looks great. After seeing your work it reminds me that I have a Sumothay in my grey army that is calling to me.

You knocked that one out of the park. I know Enigma is 32mm, but people should know some of their sculpts are very big, and may not be to scale with some models you may want to group them with.

I have that model, and will do my utmost to copy your work.

Nice, I am having fun watching the evlolution of your painting! The blue flame is kind of strange as I think it needs to be more vibrant but other than that I like it. Great job...oh btw, your painting has outgrown the boring round gaming bases...move on to plinths! I know the argument to that is that you can't sell it to a "gamer" but you don't want to sell to gamers...its collectors that pay the big bucks! Can't wait to see ya at games day!

I love posting my stuff in this forum. I get so many good comments and the most useful suggestions here. I am gonna make my explanations quick here. I have no excuse for the flame. I simply dont know how to do it lol. I also wish I had taken a little bit more time with some freehand and the base could use some more work. Other than that I am pleased with the out come and I will be coming to LA this year with a whole new arsenal of techniques I have learned though out this year. Well not really, but I would like to think so. Keep in touch Ollie, we need to talk lol.

P.S. @ David: PM sent

Antnol, great stuff again. The weathering/road grime at the bottom of his vestments is awesome. Personally, I like the blue flame, but if you were serious about not knowing how to do it check out this link:

Painting Fire

Hope this helps.

Great looking mini! Normally I wouldn't have though blue would work as a stand-alone color on this mini, but I think it does work, and quite well. I'm not hte master OKF is...and I can say this having followed his work for years, and seeing his stuff in person at Rcon...but I don't think a brighter blue would do anything but distract from the mini. If you do make it a bit more 'vibrant', I would suggest some dark blue glazes (like VMC Dark Prussian Blue) in the recesses of the cloth folds.

Excellent mini...you paint-fu is strong!
