l33t ninj4
Well, I don't know what color to paint her top, and I would like some suggestions. Almost finished, just some last loose ends and finishing details. And this is my first attempt at a custom base and feedback would be awesome. I know the picture isn't that great, I'll post a better pic later. And yes the thing next the keys on her waist IS in fact a light saber. :P
Heisler
Your picture is a bit dark to pick out the details. When all else fails paint the top to match the pants.
l33t ninj4
Yeah, I might as well... I've stared at it for a good while imagining different colors. Like I said, I'll post a better picture later. MAn I need to make a photo booth thingy for my miniatures. Anybody know of any good tutorials on making those really cost effectively? I'm kinda on a tight budget right now.
DavidVC04
You can't go wrong with red. Just not too garish and bright. Or a simple white.

Here is the best online tutorial for making your own light tent. In time you will want to invest in 3, 5100K Full Spectrum CFLs. They will produce better pictures and you can put brighter bulbs in lower rated fixtures. My 40w or less fixtures now have 75w full spectrum CFLs, and they use less watage then the three 40w I had in the three lamps.

psyberwolfe1
Thanks for the tutorial. All I need is the..... well everything. I'll start hording materials for it later. Everything except the light bulbs I either scrounged or already had. You can make a make shift light tent with to desk lamps and white t-shirts. l33t ninj4
Quick update: Coat: 90% done Pants: finished Top: almost there (I went with red and I have to highlight the gear design) metal: washed and just needs highlighting Goggles: done and done Overall status: may finish tonight, but that's open to interpretation. (my older brother is visiting) I may post a picture later, but that photo box has gone nowhere fast, seeing as my house has no boxes big enough for some reason. Just may go to Home Depot and buy a small moving box.
Sergeant_Crunch
If you want a super fast super cheap semi-ok diffuser, cut a hole in the side of a milk jug. It's far from perfect but works in a pinch until you get something better set up.
