dks
I painted the elf bard Liriel Silverlocks for Reaper last month. ReaperRon told me that she had been in the line for several years -- a consistently good seller -- but Reaper still didn't have a painted version, so I have obliged. I'm expecting sales to tank now, as a result. She'll go up into the Painted Gallery, but here's a sneak preview and a brief explanation. Although I started painting the figure with dark hair and tanned skin as an example for my Monochrome Painting class at RCon, I decided that Miss Silverlocks actually needed silver locks and a polychrome treatment. I tried a few other colors for the clothing (performance-enhancing red, ethereal pastel blues, indigo), but settled on the greens for extra elfiness. And then I added the frog to the base, since he can sympathize about how not-easy it is to be green. Their duet album hits the shelves next month. Enjoy, Derek

Wilwarin
Very lovely! I painted her a while back for a friend (though I think she got cut up for parts by that friend) and I had her in leather. I really like this take as well! :) She's very beautiful!
