Nial ap Morai
...One of my cats is a kleptomaniac when it comes to unpainted miniatures. ... *inside* furniture especially the couch ... inside clothes inside closets, shoes and under furniture. If your kitties are responsible, I wouldn't rule out any hiding place no matter how unlikely or "cat-proof"! Maya~ Now that is great advice, my three legged cat is new to the brood and is not used to the gaming group. She sometimes hides under and behind our TV wall unit/cabinet with her treats. I will have to shake her down and if thats the case that Drow is toast, she's fierce Thanks Maya

Nothing can stand against the might of a fierce klepto kitty! I'd also get a flashlight and check the back of that unit and any other standing furniture, minis love the limbo zone between the the back of furniture and the wall. Especially when kitty pushed. Nial ap Morai
The search for the drow continues... Searching the couch for the drow resulted in failure; however, I am now able to put $2.75 toward the purchase of a replacement Drow. After moving every piece of furniture in the dining & living rooms, the kitchen, office, and Foyer, I am no closer to finding the damned drow. I did find about 23 toy mice; for which the cats were eternally greatful (meaning I received their undivided attention for 5 minutes). Time to check the garage..... pferdundvogel
You may also want to try (if you have any) under the area rugs. My "crow" likes to stuff things under ours and some how it gets wiggled to the middle of the rug. Otherwise her other favorite hiding spot seems to be behind the toilet. kristof65
Shhhhh. No Talking, No Talking.... That's from Bill Engvall's bit about his cat kidnapping his kid's IG Joes. Look under the stove, dishwasher and fridge in the kitchen. Cat's like to bat that stuff around smooth tile, and underneath the stove or fridge are often their final resting places. morganm
When checking in furniture be sure to dig deep. We recently found a lost DVD in a chair we had searched twice before. It was lodged deep in the chair where the frame joints and upholstery is attached.
Spike
Have you checked the laundry? That is to say, being an orc-fancier myself, I know I'd not hear the end of it if one of my orcsy-babies got subjected to actual soap and water... but still it COULD happen. I thought that was Jeff Foxworthy schtick... Nothing under the fridge, luckily it rolls easily, Nothing can get under the stove and the Dishwasher. Nothing in the laundry or the washer & dryer or the furniture, or the vacuum... Sneaky bastar*s... I will have to check the rug in the dining room, we have all hardwood floors so its easy to check around/under the furniture, but I didnt check for lumps in the rug.. hmm I have yet to receive a Kidnapping demand, no suicide notes, no "fame" claims to the media have been made for the deed, no evidence of foul play at the scene... The Next plan is to interrogate the gaming group for collaborators...
Kheprera
How small and pokey was it? Maybe one of the cats ate it.

Nial ap Morai
So, my goddess and I cleaned every nook and cranny of the house in the last 2 days in prep for a grand gathering of friends, family, coworkers, straphangers, and mooches, on Labor day. Everything was lifted, shifted, dusted, mopped, waxed, flipped, vacuumed, fluffed and pledged. Grandmothers across the country beamed with OCD-cleaning inspired smiles... So, do you think I could find that bastard Drow? In a syllable, Hell No! When/if i find 'em, I have a 3lb sledge that will make him envious of a railroad track-penny....
