morganm Posted August 1, 2008 Share Posted August 1, 2008 I KNOW there's some Baldur's Gate fans on here :D When I bought the 'Tales of the Sword Coast' expansion for the original Baldur's Gate it came with the soundtrack on CD. Apparently I liked it a little too much and have since wore out the CD. Where or how could I get either another copy of it or MP3s of it? Ideas? ixminis Posted August 1, 2008 Share Posted August 1, 2008 There are a few different wax/CD repair treatments that you can use to get the CD in good enough shape to back it up... that's my recommendation... much safer with all the DMCA, RIAA, etc. stuff out there... I did not test this, but theres a guide at the Sorcerers Place: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_tips.php There you can find something called "Extracting Music from Baldur's Gate II by T. In case of a full installation the music is in the folder "music" actually I tested the tutorial I posted earlier and it works well. And its really really easy. alchemist Posted August 4, 2008 Share Posted August 4, 2008 Yes, I actually did extract the music from the game a few years ago and made myself a CD out of it. It took a lot of work, though, patching together the combat tracks from lots of tiny pieces. It might not be worth the effort just to save a few bucks.
