haldir
yah Bowel Movement really showed his worth yesterday. Sad how one guy can go from one of the top WR at the first of the year to just average at the end. I hope that Denver goes bust & SD wins the AFC west this year, ha ha. I highly doubt I'll get 22, so congrats on the win. RM
Nikmal
A load of crazy results in the football this weekend, I thought I was through and clear for sure with like 2 minutes to play in the Kansas SD game when suddenly Rivers made some magic happen. That left me watching the score of the Carolina Denver game with trepidation expecting Brandon Marshall to ruin my defence and leaving me reliant on Jonathan Stewart and the Browns scoring well. Fortunately the Panthers seemed to get on top of Denver early. So barring a 22 pt performance by the Eagles I should be through to the Superbowl (or Reaper Bowl, whatever we call it :)) It should be a fun game in the Reaper Bowl... I am looking forward to the Challenge :) While none of my players stood out by themselves they ALL performed nicely!! Finally a win over the number one team... like me last year I got wiped out in the second round two and I was number one hehe. Now I am number 4 and going into the final. talk about odd things :) -jon
Rupert Oldcorn
Yep, should be interesting, may the best man win. On a side note, is it me or has there been a mistake made in the Consolidation Ladder, Groo's Wanderers and Forgewalk Minions game ended in a Tie, that was won by the Minions bench. However, Groo has advanced up the ladder and the Minions have descended. Am I missing something?

styates
I don't know why it did that, but it has been corrected.

Rupert Oldcorn
Oh my God that was close. I stayed up watching the Chicago Packers game and was a bit disheartened by the touchdown, but then the two Ints negated that so I knew it was going to come down to how many yards Orton got as to if I'd win or lose. In the end I lost count, can't believe Crosby missed that kick it'd all have been over there and then. Still It ended on a tie, and my bench had some good players sat there. Excellent game Nikmal, I doubt watching that Vikings game could have been easy for you, nor was listening to that Jets game for me. And having to cheer for Orton when you ideally want the Bears to lose can't have been pleasant. Now I just have to hope that the Bills win and so do the Jets! Stubbdog
It was definitely a crazy season. At this point, I am rooting for the 13-2 underdog to go all the way. They have been the dog in almost every game they have played this year, especially this week with the injuries to their best D players. But, they just keep on a winning. Course, I admit being a Longhorn fan, I wish it were VY at the helm and not KC, but I give props where they are due. KC is the better bus driver right now. I hate rooting for something that I want to loose. I was torn.. having to root for the Pack to win over the Bears and rooting for Orton to get more FF points... but low game scores and still loose. The Vikings game ticked me off.. the Falcons were interfering all over the place with the receivers and the ref's non-calls were more then bothersome. Plus I hate Baldy calling a game.. along with the "Coach" Billichek, they both seem to hate the Vikings for some reason or at least it seems that way. But yes it was a tight game for the championship!! Congrats sir.. (missed it by that much). :) There is always next year... of only Adrian Peterson and Moss had done better Sunday.. I might have pulled it out :)
haldir
he he whoops I spaced off & forgot to reset my team. I put them all to the bench at the begining the week & was going to reset them after the Thursday game, as I didn't have any players in that one & then I just didn't make it back to the page before Sunday. Sadly if I would have made it the championship game I'd had won by 8 pts (84 - Romo's pts). Fun year, congrats to the Mystery Men. The way the league went this year I guess it's fitting that the benches decided the outcome. RM
Leech
Grats to Rupert!! I was hoping it'd be you and me in the Reaper Bowl (as it turns out I'd have won but whatever), but I'm glad you made it all the way. Seems my passing game let me down when I needed it to cover for a beat up Clinton Portis and a tough schedule for the Titans, which is similar to how last season went. But at least I ended on a high... and I suppose finishing in the top half (if only barely at 7th) was an improvement. Hope for next year, though I doubt I'll repeat my flukey 7 game winning streak :o) One thing though.... why couldn't I beat the Tigers in the regular season?!?!? I'd have rather won the division and tank all through the playoffs than come second, especially after how my season went. Football in general has been weird this year, but it made a lot of fun for the season of fantasy :o) And now to move on to next year.... Which brings up, when are we supposed to drop our players we're not keeping? I know who I wanna keep and can do it now but last season someone was doing trackers and stuff so.... Grats again to Rupert, and *kick* get the rest of those trophies up Stefan :oP
haldir
I'm close to my 09 team so far. I just need to decided about Winslow. The TE pool is really weak, so I'm not sure. That & I'm not sure about Rivers or Romo. Other then that I'm good to go.
Rupert Oldcorn
From a fan point of view the last day of the regular season was pretty saddening but did have one highlight, with Baltimore's victory of the Jags my beloved Jets had no ability to reach the Playoffs, but we could decide who goes, thereby giving the only glimmer of joy for the weekend the Dolphins victory over the Jets, thereby denying the Pats entry into the playoffs, sorry Qwyksilver. And then the extra cherry on top of that one is the fact that the fins then blew it against the Ravens in the Wild Card game :D, 12 turnovers all season and then 5 in one game, hilarious. I'm 2 - 1 - 1 on predictions thus far, felt Falcons would make it and couldn't draw a line between the Vikes and the Eagles. This weekend Balitmore to win just San Diego to win by a whisker Carolina to run all over the Cards And the Giants to win Those are who I'd hope to win and who I think will win, the one I trust the most is Carolina, the weakest bet San Diego, in my opinion. Happy New Year by the way!
Heisler
You don't need to make any decisions on your roster right now and in fact I would argue against it. Until you see what the draft is like and what players are making and not making teams its pointless to start dropping your players now. I'm only open up the spreadsheet when we get closer to next season and you have to figure out how many "points" a player is going to count against your roster for and if you have any unused points from last season to help keep players for the next season. Essentially as of the end of the season every player on your roster goes up one point in value and you have eight points to play with (some people have more because they didn't not use all eight points at the beginning of this season). Players that were "rookies" in that this was the first season on your team will cost 1 point to keep. Players that are "sophmores" in that this was their second season on your team will cost 2 points to keep. If you acquired a player in trade this season he will only cost 1 point as this was the first year he was on your team. At this point you may no longer add players to your roster, i.e. the pool of players eligible to be drafted was set at the end of the regular season. I'll have the commish check to make sure that any players that were added after the end of the our league's regular season are put back in the draft pool. Ranzadule
I agree that we should lock it and wait until 2009 gets closer. I have players who could retire or get career threatening injuries in the playoffs or die in bar shootouts, or who are Bengals. And whoever had Favre will not know until the day before the season starts since he will likely cry and retire and un retire and retire and have his mother talk aobut his comeback....whatta tool!
