Versutus Vulpes
Calling this one done - I am still trying to figure out NMM... Cause I need more frustration in my life right? Anyhow - Tried tweeking the sword - and calling it done regardless. Spike
The NMM looks pretty good to me, especially the bands around her wrists and the top part of her costume, but what really sets her apart is her hair. It looks really shiny and coppery and what an angel of radiance ought to have. GREAT paintjob, VV!
Wilwarin
That looks AMAZING! Great job!!! I love what you did with her wings and the NMM is amazing.
Hadier
I really like the hair as was already said actually if you can pm or just post how that was does it would be great i am working on a model and thats about the color i was after. your shading is great the only critque i have and i know you did not ask for it is this is that you might of overdone the highlight in the cheekbone as its really visible in the first picture. MamaGeek
I think she's beautiful. I love the wings, and the NMM looks really nice. That closeup photo is a little blurry, though. Any chance of getting a better one? Super nice job!

No problem on the critique - it might be the picture - or it might be I went to high on the highlight. I'll take a closer look. As for the hair - IIRC - it was a base coat of Mahogany Brown - then brought up with Rust brown/Fire Orange and I believe Sandy yellow, then a wash again with Mahogany brown to get definition back. But I could be wrong - I hardly ever write these things down. MamaGeek - is this picture any better? In all its 10X magnified gory (<-- not a typo)... I crack me up. Thanks all for the kind words. kristof65
Wow. This must look awesome in person. Knowing how much the camera accentuates the tiniest flaw, with your maginification, I think I see all the gory details you're referring too, but I'm choosing not to comment on them, since I know that they are magnified by the camera, and that you're a much better painter than I am, so it's not my place to do so. I am commenting because of the gem on the pommel of the sword. I swear in the first picture, it looks like a real gem, and the magnification doesn't detract from that. Out of all the nice things about this mini, I find my eye keeps getting drawn to the gem. Nice work.
DavidVC04
I really like how you brought out the musculature.

Versutus Vulpes
Thank you all for the kind words. If anyone cares to - I am now pimping her for votes on CMON: Share the love if you want. Thanks again for looking.
paintminion
Really really like what you did with the wings! I have to paint her for Reaper yet, and was looking at all sorts of bird wings for ideas. Did you use specific avian inspiration, or just wanted to make them look like that? And I was going to do red hair...but now I think I'll have to go a different route to set mine apart from yours! Good mini, you can be proud...I'll go spread some love for you... Duliniel
That's very, very nice. Her hair and the wings really bring in a lot of warmth.

Thanks Sue, I used a red tailed hawk for inspiration - because I knew I was going to do red hair and I figured the colours would play nice together. That and I was tired of plain old white wings. That's very, very nice. Her hair and the wings really bring in a lot of warmth. Again - thank you. I heartily recommend this mini. It is a real joy to paint and a great pose. Now I feel I need to put her on a proper base (extending the one she is sculpted with I mean). Cheers.
