Wow- you've got great brush control, the painting is very smooth and clean. I love the color schemes too. I would say to work on contrast- deeper shadows and brighter highlights. I can see you know how to blend well, you just need to push it further. Good work.

You're right about working on the contrasts & highlights - I keep telling him this...

Comments/critiques are more than welcome.

OK. Those look really nice, and your picture skills are quite good. I agree with what has been said about adding shadow. I sense you want to keep the mini bright, but specifically, darklining would help things like the light blue against lavender and gold stand out better.

You did a bit better on the orange bodice, but that girl's face needs more highlight, and the dagger looks quite dull, although that could be the lighting.

Yea, I agree with Matt about the shadows, too. It seems counter intuitive, but believe it or not deepening the shadows actually makes your brights seem to pop even more. Kinda like working in the negative if that makes any sense. But this is a concept that I'm still struggling with myself.

A little more shading and lining on Hannah's hair wraps in the back would really make that area come alive. The only other thing I can think of is I would like to see a little more basing on Hannah. A little greenstuff to blend the seam of the two bases maybe.

It sounded like you were looking for critiques, but it's hard to give one when there's not very much to critisize. Clean work, you did a very good job on the eyes and the skintones, on ALL of them! Great sense of color balance overall. I really like your choices alot. I wouldn't have thought of a raspberry and saffron yellow combo... I might have to steal that idea!

Excellent! ::D:

The picture of Hannah is a bit dark but she looks great. I also echo what everyone else already said in regards to highlighting and contrast but these are still very well done. You make me want to finish my version of her thanks.

I'm happy to see a pick of Alastriel, since she's next up in my painting queue. My mandate is for blues and purples, but the red and cream scheme really lends the model a different look. Very cool. Nice work on the eyes, too - especially on Jolie (great sculpt).

Beautiful, I like them all. Is the skin on Hannah lighter in person? I have problems with darker skin colors myself. They don't seem to photograph well for me. I really like Jolie, especially the eyes! I still have issues with eyes and these look great. Also, great color choices on all of them. Keep it up.
