Cyradis
It appears to be functioning now. A bit annoying having to edit all my images, but it works! Thanks for the diagnosis, @Reaperbryan! My Dorn Ironspike is now submitted. Will get some others up shortly.
Reaperbryan
I'm glad I could help - yeah, it's not a perfect system, we could probably work to do some dynamic resizing so you could upload any size you wish, but any automated process like that risks quality-of-image suffering and I'd hate to be the one responsible for a good picture suddenly looking bad. Cyradis
It is only a minor inconvenience now that it is sorted out. Might help to have a list of suggested programs for resizing at the gallery though. I apparently didn't have any useful ones prior to pestering Sir Cyr, and wouldn't really know what to turn to without him.
Grayfax
GIMP is a good program for this, we use it on our University computers for image manipulation and it is universally free. You don't want to do it in Paint if you can help it... If someone has paid for Adobe Photoshop, it is a superior product, but the cost is also superior.
Pochi
5 hours ago, Reaperbryan said: Added Inspiration Gallery Link. We receive an average of 3 new IG pictures per day (about 20 a week). I have confirmed that the IG upload is working because I am still getting them in my (and @OneBoot's )queue for approval. I am not sure why it should fail for you, @Cyradis, but it does nto appear to be a setting on our end, as many other users are getting images in. What browser are you using, and what format/size are the images? Awesome! Thank you! For resizing images I use Irfan View.
Grayfax
Oh yeah... Irfan View... we have one faculty that likes that one... primarily because of how it handles doing batch jobs (if I remember correctly).
Sabith
Hey, I'm trying to use the power palette to figure out which paints to use, but it's not showing paint titles. Is it out of service currently, or is it something to do with my computer/browser?
Inarah
Same here. Working for me both with uploaded images and links, showing paint numbers, but not names.
Paradoxical Mouse
I've seen a lot of mention of the issue of items showing up as "Out of Stock" due to being in people's carts. Of course, this is often due to using the carts as a "Wishlist" of sorts to quickly plan purchases. As a solution to this, I was wondering how difficult it would be to implement a wishlist widget for the Reaper store? Is this feasible with the software Reaper uses to manage their store? I don't know if it is in house software or purchased software, but it seems like this feature would reduce a lot of frustration both on Reaper and user ends. A little off topic (Workarounds in the meantime to prevent item hogging): -The Amazon Wishlist/Shopping list can do off-site items with some manipulation -Google Sheets/Excel make excellent wishlists, especially for companies like Reaper whose prices don't typically change.
buglips*the*goblin
It's been requested before. It might be a handy thing to have, but I wouldn't count on it any time soon since Bryan is leaving and Kit is rather busy. I couldn't say what, exactly, is involved code-wise, but that it has not yet materialized despite being an oft-requested feature suggests it is either not especially simple to implement into the code or is a very low priority. So for an unknown period of future time, other forms of wishlist alternatives would be best.
Cyradis
^^ what Bugs said. I super duper wish that Reaper had a wishlist. Wamp does, and it is very useful. I make an Excel spreadsheet for mine. Pretty basic, but it does the job. It is a bit confusing to me that Reaper's system has items in cart remove them from stock, while others like CMON remove items only upon sale. I see why for both, but it seems like CMONs removes frustration of not having an accurate count. Right now, I admit to having items sitting in my cart. I'm hitting purchase as soon as it is Cat Dragon Day. Because it is the opportune time for a pun, Cat Dragon Day is Saturday. CATURDAY.
Sanael
both systems have problems. Reaper shows potentially inaccurate counts at the start of a purchase (when you select items), but CMON's creates potentially inaccurate counts at the end (when you receive an order and discover that between selecting an item with 2,500 in stock and paying, 3,457 other people paid for the same item and now your order is oversold). Obviously my stock levels are hyperbolic as well as hypothetical, but I think clear nonetheless. The benefit of Reaper's system is that it prevents a lot of refunds after orders are placed.
Matbar
Yeah, there's been requests for years on this, so hopefully it will become a reality one day :-) My family won't buy anything hobby related for gifts if it's not on a wishlist because only my husband even remotely has an idea of what I like. Other mini websites have one that is slightly clunky because you have to log yourself in to see them, they're not shareable like Amazon, but I'm not against giving my log-in & password to family so they can access them. I've seen the "use your own log-in" version at enough other sites to suspect it's the easier option. I'd take it in a heartbeat to be able to keep up with my Reaper "wishes." Doug Sundseth
As I've said here before, I use the Amazon widget to add items from the Reaper website (and Hasslefree, and Dark Sword, and ...) to my Amazon wishlist. Note that this creates a direct link to the page at Reaper, so Reaper would still get the benefits of the direct sale and I have a place to go find items when I'm ready to make a purchase for free minis (for instance).
Aerius Arcanium
Hi! I sometimes browses through the more than many Reaper miniatures, looking for someting I like, I need or want. It would be great if we could have, on our Reaper account, a "Want list", where we can save the minis we would like to buy in the future. What do you think about that? Is that already in place and I did not found it? Thank you! :D Edited March 11, 2018 by Aerius Arcanium Mistake in one word
