dargrin
Bad times are upon us... Spyglass closing its doors.
Lars Porsenna
I'm intruged by the mention of a new company making 54mm figures. IMHO, for pure painting/display purposes, I never understood why 54mm didn't become more popular despite the few releases out there. IMHO, 25mm should stay a pure gaming scale, with 54mm being the scale of choice for painters (at least that's how I do things!) Damon. joshuaslater
Steve's a good guy, and I hope he keeps sculpting. I was lucky enough to buy the masters and mold for a model from that range.
Heisler
Again, let's point out that he is not giving up. He is closing Spyglass, there is a sale going on. He is going to form a new company and work pretty much exclusively in larger scales, 54mm at first maybe larger later. The 28mm-32mm niche market for miniatures is such that he can't make any money there. I'm looking forward to his new sculpts coming and it sounds like he is making the switch to resin for these larger pieces. He is forming a new company because he wants a clean break from Spyglass and so his new company can have its own identity.
joshuaslater
Buddle ain't goin' anywhere. He'll still be producing great stuff. His style is all his own, but I'd like to see more sculptors emulate him!
mattmcl
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of high end painters moving towards the bigger stuff. If it's happening here, there's a good chance it's a bigger trend on the other side of the pond.

So when is it coming out??? FYI you're living the dream I always had...start up a minis company. Bravo! Damon.
