Hmm, I haven't counted like you guys, but I am happy that I painted a lot more this year than I did last. Better, I can see a big difference between the first miniatures I painted in 2008 (seen in this blog post HERE and the last, my "Frosty" which can be seen in this very forum.

I am not sure exactly how many I painted this year, but it's at least 30-40, whereas last year I might have finished 2 or 3. Funny how you start to improve when you actually paint, huh?

Admittedly my production was down this year. Between finding a CAV opponent at the beginning of the year and actually playing some games, then moving in the middle of the year, then just having a hard time motivating myself to paint I didn't get as many done as I would have. I was on a roll there for a while until I found out I was moving. I like to think that Biker Chick Sophie makes up for all that though. :)

And Flynn, while I'm used to your statements about throwing minis away and am familiar with why you do, it still boggles my mind.

I got about 70 to 80 figs painted this year - most of them are Tau. I'd like to have painted more but I've been busy and had trouble with my eyes (I guess that's an age thing). I've been running a D&D game, so that takes up time with writing and preparation.

Still, the Tau are almost done - just got a couple of vehicles to paint (and don't they take time to dark line and highlight), and a squad of Stingwings (still not sure what colour to paint them - any suggestions?).

When they are done I'm going to be doing a few super heros and pulp fiction figures and then it's back to the post apocalypse stuff.

I started 2008 with the best of intentions: my New Years Resolution was to paint 100 minis. As traditional with my Resolutions, I failed spectacularly. looking at my totals it appeared that I painted a grand total of three figures. So I reached 3% of my goal.

No firm numbers for me this year. I'm just going to paint for fun. I received a bunch of painting supplies this year for Xmas (brushes, books) and finally have a semi-dedicated painting area to work at. I also have about 20 mostly painted minis awaiting their finishing touches so I expect 2009 to be a much better year right out the gate.

I finished 27 minis last year, including Sigurd that took 11 months to finish (okay, most of that time was spent with him staring forlornly at me from the painting desk). I'm happy with what I've done, especially since I had a really big dip in productivity from late August through early November when I fell in with a really good guild on WoW.

Nice pickup in painting from November through now though. ::):
