I was wondering if anyone uses the comment tab in the profiles. Doesn't seem like it. So I'm thinking that as a means to make use of an underutilized forum function I will set out on a crusade to say hi to everybody in their comment field in my spare time. OK, maybe "crusade" is a little strong, and spare time gets taken up with other things, but when you least expect it...BAM! a comment in your profile! cutebutpsycho Posted January 12, 2009 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Well, you add people as 'friends' and then, depending on their settings, you are either auto approved, or they have to approve you. Spike Posted January 12, 2009 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Also, your Friends list appears in a dropdown menu when you are composing private messages. This is handy if you have a game group or other collection of folks here you regularly need to PM. As for comments..it seems I've gotten a few and never noticed. Also, if anybody sends you an abusive comment, I'm pretty sure you can delete it from your own User CP. EDIT Nope..it appears the user cannot edit or remove comments from own profile. You have to go to the Edit Portal Information part and set comment options so that you approve them before they appear in your profile. I have my user comments set to approval, which means that comments are not added until I have checked them. This gets around the issue it being open to abuse.
