I would suggest some darker shadows on both your metal and skin. That will come with time. I look forward to more of your work in the future. I was looking at a tutorial the other day and the basecoat was done with the middle color and then darker shadows were added after the basecoat. bikerdrew Posted March 7, 2009 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Very nice blending and base work - I really like what you have done. I use Vallejo paints - except for the metallics, which are GW - they are very good. Try mixing GW boltgun and a little black as your base colour and then layer on some GW chainmail/ Boltgun. Give it a wash of black (I just use watered down black paint - nothing fancy) so that it defines the plate overlaps and seams. Highlight with a 50/50 GW chainmail/Mithril mix and finish with a little Mithril on the very edges and points. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
