That's a great tutorial, thanks. Thanks for the advice as well. I was looking at a tutorial the other day and the basecoat was done with the middle color and then darker shadows were added after the basecoat. I have been basecoating with the darkest color and working up. I'm going to try the reverse and see what results I can get from it.

Very nice blending and base work - I really like what you have done. I use Vallejo paints - except for the metallics, which are GW - they are very good. Try mixing GW boltgun and a little black as your base colour and then layer on some GW chainmail/ Boltgun. Give it a wash of black (I just use watered down black paint - nothing fancy) so that it defines the plate overlaps and seams. Highlight with a 50/50 GW chainmail/Mithril mix and finish with a little Mithril on the very edges and points.
