mathewbaich
hello guys, Here's a new mini I recently finished and I am seeking feedback on my OSL job as I barely ever do this technique. thanks and enjoy! :)
Brushmaster
Not a bad effort at demonstrating fire/heat glow .
Bumble_B
I wish I knew how to do something like that. Did you use a glaze medium or did you just use watered down color layers?
mathewbaich
I used watered down layers for the most part and this technique doesn't work very well when painting the glow over true metallics.
Stern Kestrelmann
Diggin' the flames man... The OSL effects are nice too. Paint on. SK
Nydhog
Nice OSL man. Wish i could get that done. Heck I wish I had the paints to DO it lol. 18 paints and growing.
Wumby
First of all, I can't do OSL for crap. Your technique looks pretty darn great. The only constructive criticism I would provide is to brighten it up a bit. IMO it just looks a little "dark" for the streaming gouts of fire glow. Now, must go try OSL and practice what I preach.... Final word: Awesome job!
dewen
Awesome work. Thanks for sharing. The lighting is very cool.
Ol'Timer
Very Nice! I'm a fan of OSL, but haven't been brave enough to try it yet. I'm particularly fond of the reflections on the backpack leather leading edges. great work.
